“The food here is great. This is a local favorite. Can be busy at times, especially the after church rush on Sundays.Small dining room. Delicious breakfast & burgers‼️It's an old drive-in with outdoor seating under the cover. It's kinda divey but the food is always great.Try the Dutch honey syrup if your getting pancakes, its amazing! Also I their home fries! Breakfast & lunch only. ???☕️?? ?“

“If you like oysters, don’t pass by the opportunity to try the fried oysters here, if they are in season. Absolutely spectacular. The fig stout had enough residual sugar to be disagreeable to my palate. The nearby Tesla Supercharger was a great convenience.“

“Best sushi on the Oregon Coast. Impressive sake selection, local wine offerings, perfect tempura. Humble and charming, will be working my way through their menu until it bores me, but that seems unlikely to happen. Try the Empire roll.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, comfortable atmosphere. My 1-year old nephew was made welcome.“

“The food was very good, although it took a while to come out it was worth the wait. My husband loves their yellow chicken curry. I got pork larb with a side of rice. It was almost as good as my mom's. Forgot to take pictures. We were hungry, lol.“

“The Cajun crab chowder was very good. Thinner broth than we'd expect in a chowder but it was so tasty it didn't matter. We also shared the Dungeness crab melt (like a tuna melt but crab). It was good but we would try something else next time. The fries were great and the coleslaw was very refreshing.“

“Very good meal. Great service and reasonable pricing. Dropping in while passing through Coos Bay. Had looked at the menu on Yelp and decided it looked worth the stop. The calamari was wonderful. Best appetizer ever. Had Steelhead and it was grilled perfectly. Well worth the stop. Good brews as well.“

“Great staff and amazing food! A bit hard to get in if you are in a wheelchair. They have a ramp, but the door threshold is almost impossible to get over..almost dumped my 93yo friend trying to get out... other than that, the vibe is casual and eclectic, great staff and great food! Would definitely recommend!“

“A lot of their food is good to an okay. Their hot and sour soup is not like anything that I like. Others ate it but I don't think it was good. They always seem busy . Just try to avoid sitting near the entrance because the door brings in a lot of cold air due to customer traffic. They need a new front door and a kitchen remodel. But I don't think the building owner will allow them. Other places in the building have the same issue.“

“Absolutely amazing! The menu has a huge variety of fried seafood. Cooked perfectly.. From Miami to Myrtle Beach, and from Fort Bragg and beyond, I have never had seafood cooked so well! Staff so friendly, food fresh and fast! Ordered and turned around and it was there! Great pricing, Highly Recommend.“

“We got the basket combo. Loved the halibut, clams, prawns and calamari. Cod was decent popcorn shrimp was too heavily breaded but cooked well. Everything was cooked well, moist and flavorful. Slaw was fine and fries were great. A bit pricey but mostly worth it.“

“My partner and I went there for the first time today and were blown away. She hadn't really had much Indian food but I regularly crave it but there's nothing in Florence where we live, and not even in Newport, surprisingly. We read the reviews here on Yelp and I knew we had to go! We were not disappointed! We ordered the Pakora appetizer, which is the best I've ever had. Yummy and crunchy without being greasy. Yummy tamarind and mint sauces perfectly complimented them. We also ordered the garlic cheese naan. OMFG! Soft, hot, buttery, garlicky and stuffed with cheese! You could make a meal out of it! I ordered the butter chicken and it was delightfully flavorful with amazing sauce and tender chunks of chicken. Incredible. Our waiter was awesome, not pushy, ready to answer our questions, and was very personable. He actually followed the chef/owner when he was in Petaluma CA. Coos Bay is blessed to have this restaurant in their grasp! As Guy Fiery would sometimes say regarding special restaurants, the Himalayan is a DESTINATION restaurant. Worth traveling hours for to experience! Don't miss it!!“
