When we walked in we were greeted by the sweet lady behind the bar. It was pretty busy since other restaurants were already closed. She did tell us they were out of chowder but we did not mind. We sat ourselves and did have a wait before our order was taken, but there was only one waitress managing 6 other tables. Since we moved to the coast we've been on a mission to find the best Clam Chowder. Unfortunately we have to cross Chowder Bowl off the list. The chowder was VERY salty, not many clams, and had a weird texture. It was almost like the roux didn't get incorporated properly so there were little lumps of something doughy. Excellent food! The New England clam chowder was as expected and hot! Delicious! Had the streamer clams as well and they were fantastic, dip the garlic bread in the sauce!!! Just Yum! Oh, and try the taps, local products and tasty!
