Little Brown Hen Cafe Reviews
Our server was on top of my gluten free needs, food was AMAZING, gluten free shredded hash browns, cozy atmosphere, cocktails and bloodies, hard workers, fresh homemade tasting omelet with lots of fresh veggies, and only a 20 minute wait! I may drive to Florence many more times just to eat here! Nowhere near where I live is there place like this for me.
Yummy food! The seafood chowder had a good variety of fish and was not overwhelmed by potatoes. The hash browns and "chirps" were especially good. Great stop along 101.
We visited the Monday after the 4th of July. We have been traveling full time in our RV for 2 years. In our travels, we have been to a lot of breakfast restaurants. I have never, and I mean never, had a breakfast as awesome and delicious as the one I had at your establishment. I had your Cock-A-Doodle-Do omelet. I was asked if I wanted the cream cheese in it and didn't think twice about it. So good. The homemade jelly/jams were delicious. The service was impeccable. If we make...read full review

The Little Brown Hen Cafe is a popular restaurant known for its great food and friendly service. They offer a variety of dishes, including freshly made beignets, Marionberry jam, and a veggie burger, as well as adult coffee with liquor. Prices are reasonable, with a tasty biscuit available for a small price. Visitors should know that the cafe only accepts cash or checks, and parking can be a challenge because of the small lot and busy hours. The restaurant often gets crowded, especially during peak times, so guests might need to wait for a table or choose to sit outside. The inside can feel a bit cramped with tables close together, but the atmosphere is charming. The menu includes some vegetarian options, mostly for breakfast. Many customers praised the food, mentioning the seafood chowder with a good variety of fish and the hash browns and "chirps" as especially tasty. The breakfast omelet, Cock-A-Doodle-Do, was described as the best ever, with homemade jelly/jams that were delicious. The staff were also praised for their excellent service. Despite minor drawbacks, the Little Brown Hen Cafe remains a recommended spot for a satisfying and hearty meal. Recent visitors shared that the "everything" breakfast looked great, and the pancake was so light and fluffy it should be illegal. They appreciated the vegetarian options, like eggs, shredded hash browns, and whole wheat toast. The blueberry pancake with fresh blueberries was delicious, and the bacon was cooked perfectly crispy. The chicken fried steak was tasty with hash browns, though the herb gravy was just okay. The large biscuits served with butter and honey were a hit. Service was fast and courteous despite some initial confusion, and the cozy atmosphere with patio seating when weather permits makes it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Remember, the restaurant only accepts cash or checks, with an ATM available on site.
