We had a late lunch around 2pm here on a Saturday after fishing near Hagg lake. We had a party of 9 and had a party room available that could fit us all together at one table. We appreciated being able to be seated together. They do charge a tip/service charge of 18% to use the room. We tried the chicken teriyaki don, katsu don, beef don, and salmon teriyaki don,oyakodon, as well as a salmon avocado roll. Everything was presented nicely and tasty. We arrived before the dinner rush around 4p and watched the place fill up. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was very tasty. We sampled the HH menu and a bowl of tempura udon with an extra side of tempura.
Everything was delicious. The poke was very flavorful without being fishy or too heavily dressed. The rolls were nice, though I typically prefer nigiri/sashimi. Points for real crab & no Krab 🙌

SaWa is my go-to restaurant in Forest Grove and Washington County. As a sushi fan for almost 50 years, SaWa is a treasure right here at home. The sushi is the best and the staff are great. They take great care with their customers. That they stock sake is a bonus.
