While shopping in Tillamook, an employee recommended this place to me, and I found it by searching for "Live crab" on Google Maps. Although I initially planned to catch crabs myself at Jetty Fishery, considering the rental and license costs, I decided it would be better to buy crabs here and cook them myself. The price of $12.99 per pound was very reasonable, so I asked various questions while examining the place. It had a clean kitchen, well-prepared dining area, and just the right beverages like beer and wine, perfect for enjoying seafood. The outdoor dining area was also excellent. Since the price for live and cooked crabs was the same, I bought cooked crabs—one for takeout and the other as part of the $25.00 crab basket package. The garlic butter sauce was well-balanced, and the cocktail sauce was excellent. The accompanying rosemary bread was delicious. After shopping in Seaside, I revisited the place to buy more crabs and had a conversation with Chris, a former restaurant chef who was quiet, kind, and attentive.
It's a friendly, delicious, and reasonably priced place, and I highly recommend it. This special spot made my trip along the beautiful Oregon coast even more memorable .
Great fresh fish and daily food to choose from not to mention, the views and hospitality.
Stay late for us to come grab some oysters.
We got oysters and smoked salmon dip from this place. The owner was very friendly, informative and helpful. 10/10 experience.
We bought some great fresh fish and oysters for dinner three nights in a row. Friendly staff, great cuts of fish. Scenic harbor.
Fresh fish and great service
I only had one thing, the clam chowder, but it was the best clam chowder I've ever had in my life. At the very least a half cup of clams, quite possibly an entire cup, in the small serving. The clams were juicy and tender and fresh. The broth was really well seasoned, and didn't have nasty thickeners like so many due. Additionally, the cream wasn't overwhelming of the other flavors. This has probably ruined all other clam chowder for me.
On August 17, 2024 I bought $131.00 of crab from Captains Corner cooler. I have crabbed before and know if the crab is fresh it’s excellent tasting. I asked the cashier and 2 other workers when the crab had been delivered and cooked. They assured me it had been delivered 2 days prior and cooked that morning. Do not believe the workers…..they do not tell the truth. The crab was yellow, tough, watery, and tasteless. It should have been white, tender, moist and flavorful. What I was sold was fish bait and not suitable for human consumption. I will never buy seafood from this establishment again and neither should anyone else. Their main business is cooking crab for people who go out on guided fishing trips, NOT THE GENERAL PUBLIC!!
Awrsome place, employees are great.
Fresh seafood and friendly employee. Definitely the place to get the daily catch. The crab cakes were great. All crabmeat no filler.
Restaurantji Recommends
We bought some Tuna loin and they where fresh and a top notch product, the service was the best. highly recommended.
I wouldn’t recommend buying here. Bought two crabs, the legs were empty, same as the body. Normally wouldn’t leave a review, but for 45 dollars you’d expect at least decently full crabs.
Freshest seafood you can get!
Great food, even better service. In the age where food help is hard to find, these folks manage to do it. Great local seafood. Nice merchandise. If you are in Garibaldi and want to head some lunch, this is a great place to do it.
Delicious dungenes crabs, tasty clam chowder, and very nice Staff. Highly recommend Captain’s Corner!
