“I used to go to the ace all the time when I lived in Gaston . It was a nice place to just sit back and have a nice cold beer and visit nice friendly people. I moved and just went back a couple weeks ago. New people had bought the place and done some much needed up dates now it's a nice open bar and they even opened up the back they put a little bar outside so you wouldn't have to keep going inside for a drink it's really nice place now.“

“The food is hot and fresh. They are always rotating their drink specials and trying new food items from apps to burgers. The service is always solid and my drinks stay full ( I like that). Worth a stop when in the Gaston area.Kid-friendliness: The dining area is small so not great for littles, except in summer when the patio is open. Otherwise, no issues.“

“4 of us stopped by for drinks and dinner last week. The food came out together and timely. My steak came out perfectly cooked (medium rare) and I heard nothing but positives about the other food. The tattooed lady working the bar area was awesome. I wish I had asked her name. She remembered 4 of our orders without writing anything down. Very impressive considering the requests. “This place is rad! Stopped in with the Gambler 500 group one weekend. Absolutely LOVED the tacos! I could have eaten 10 of them! That pulled pork was yummy ?I stopped drinking so I didn't sample the beer, but all of my friends said it was fantastic. Staff all seemed like they wanted to be there, which is a HUGE plus. They were friendly and helpful. They also put up with a pretty large group of degens (us) so props for that too ?I'll stop back in when I'm in the area next!“

“I have just eaten one of the best steaks I’ve had in many years. Hand cut fries too! Cooked to perfection ( rare to slightly medium - but not medium rare) 90’s rock music playing and a very laid back local crowd - what a hidden delight. Apparently the steaks are only on a Wednesday evening. Well worth the trip.“

“Okay the vibe and ambience is the best part of it! I ate indoors since it was a cold winter day and it felt so cozy from the interior design but also the sound of the crackling fire. It also helped that I felt like I was in the tavern from beauty and the beast. The outdoor does have a lot of fire pits which would have been great. Their cocktail options are a bit basic but they're of high quality. Service was also great.“
