“This is a great first date place. The food presentation was outstanding. However, we felt it was a little blan. They use RC soda products here, which are flat at the bar but have carbonation if gotten from the back. Amazing happy hour!

“We were there for the first time on the evening of January 10, 2026. We sat at the bar for a bit because we were a little early for our reservation. Michelle brought us a couple of beers and we ordered a plate of six oysters. She chatted cheerfully with us while she busily poured drinks for others and then introduced us to her two sons and a son’s girlfriend, who all also work there. Everyone was so friendly and kind! When our table was ready, Michelle thanked us for being there and said that it was great to meet us. At our table, we ordered another half dozen oysters, a caesar salad, a couple more beers, and two big bowls of cioppino. Absolutely delicious with the large, thick slices of freshly-made garlic bread for dunking. This place is a true gem. Four generation of family working there and their love for the place and what they do shows. Can’t wait to go back!!“

“I do not recommend Star Theatre! We went to see MC Chris August 9th 2025 at 9pm. We did get to the venue when we get there (me and my husband.) We hand the bouncer/security our IDs and he checks my husband's super fast when he gets to mine he takes a rather long time. He was a tall male, facial piercing, hat, around six foot, blonde beard, mid size man. He then tells me its fake. I tell him it unfortunately isn't but I try not to be too aggressive or argumentative. My husband then hands him his ID back and ask him what the difference between the two are and what he thinks makes it fake. He shines the light through them again and then refuses to tell us why he thought it was fake just thay it was fake and he didn't believe use but we could get a ticket refund online. I try to get a refund as my partner will jot go in without me and I do not know how else to prove its valid. But they won't refund me because it wasn't an issue with the tickets just the venue. So my partner the smart man he is calls non emergency and explains the situation they said when they get a free patrol car they will send them our way. So we wait and the bouncer changes so we try again thinking maybe that bouncer just doesn't like me. The younger guy looks at our IDs and right as he is about to let us in the old bouncer comes out and tells him he cannot let us in that my ID is fake. The younger guy ask how to tell because he's never seen a fake before again the first bouncer just shines the light and says "I think its fake she can't come in but he's fine." We asked the younger guy if there was a manager above the other guy he said unfortunately no and asked if he could explain how mine is fake. He said he had no clue but he couldn't go against the other bouncer as he was above him. We explained we weren't mad with the younger bouncer we understood. We did tell the old bouncer we had called patrol to prove my ID valid. Finally the Patrol pulls up (not their fault its Saturday night I am sure they were very busy.) Then cop takes both our IDs runs a light over both and then runs them both through the system both came up valid. He then goes the the bouncer and explains my ID is indeed valid. The bouncer is SO QUITE. He simply says "stage is to the left." I give a little glare and say thank you as I snatched my ID back. Overall we missed 1hour of our concert. The concert was good. The police were so sweet. The bouncer was a total JERK! and in the end he never even scanned our tickets...I have been to Bars, Dispensarys and 21+ venues all with this ID before and never had a problem.“

“This place is a gem. It has a welcoming atmosphere with a blend of vintage and modern decor. High quality, delicious specials and drinks, relaxing live music and a sweet little corner bistro atmosphere. The proprietors made me feel like they wanted me to stick around for awhile. Definitely the kind of place where one could become a regular with ease.“

Service is always consistently good with friendly bartenders who are attentive to one's needs. Well made drinks.
Atmosphere, what can I say, it's cozy and warm with soft RGB LED lights giving the room a perfect ambiance.
On Friday evenings they have what is called The Queen's Keys, With notable Portland Drag Queens Saint Syndrome and Nichole Anoscopy. In which they cover popular music in a Lounge style. Think Richard Cheese in Drag. I absolutely love their renditions. It's Soo much fun.

Vegetarian options: The meatless chicken nuggets are bomb!

“This place is a hidden gem. It's very unassuming from the outside and once inside, the darkest cleanest dive bar. There's the dark side and the light side, both served food by Libbie's restaurant. Dont ask me how that all works but it does. The chicken cordon bleu sandwich was recommended to me and was delicious. They even have purse hooks under the bar top which if you're a woman, you know. I just wish they were open later then 8pm.

“One of our favorite places in Portland! It’s a great place to have a cigar and a drink, and their food is good too. We particularly like the outdoor seating area, it’s shaded and right on the sidewalk.

Their cigar selection is always good, but you can also bring your own. They provide the ash trays.“

“The Limelight is my go to happy hr place! Their menu is fantastic and the food is some of the best happy hour food I have had around town. Their Limelight Harvest Salad is always fresh and filling and adding a little protein makes it a complete meal.
Being a whiskey girl, the cherry infused Maker's Mark Manhattan never disappoints, but beware, one does it's job.
Lastly, I have met some amazing people there (and their dogs) which only adds to each amazing memory created there.“

“So glad that Aubrey has taken over working the evening shifts here than the previous bartender, Petra I believe her name was. Aubrey has always had a great attitude and been is always in a good mood, she's extremely attentive to the patrons of the bar, and is always doing more and going above and beyond for anyone and everyone. The previous bartender Petra would be bullshitting with her friends that came in to see her, who I know she was giving free things to on shift, would serve me a drink and then be outside for 15 minutes and then come in and be singing karaoke and ignoring the rest of the people that came in for a drink. It was beyond ridiculous and more than frustrating at times when all I wanted to do was to grab a quick drink after a hectic night at work and go home. I'm beyond ecstatic that Aubrey is working the weekends and I will be spending much more time and funds here now that she is working the weekends. Thank you Aubrey and Thank you management for giving someone who appreciates her clientele and respects the establishment and knows how to run a busy bar. 🤙“

“I found this bar while trying to kill a few hours and left wishing this was my neighborhood bar. My Way Lounge was clean, very approachable, and the drinks were great. My bar tender "Nathan" was an absolute rock star. It's a rare find when you find a place so welcoming and you leave feeling like you made a new friend... "Nathen." I never write reviews but let me say, if you are looking for a friendly place to hang out and just chill, this is the place.“

“The name had me expecting something straight out of a crime show, walked in fully braced. Turns out The Trap is actually more “boots and a jukebox” than anything sketchy, total plot twist.
Pours are heavy enough that one drink basically counts as two, bar food hit the spot, and there’s a patio if you want some air between karaoke performances.
Speaking of karaoke, people show up ready to perform, though they did seem to prioritize regulars over anyone else wanting to sing.

“First time visiting and we loved the experience. It was a holiday weekend (July 5th), and the place was booming with music and people, and the vibe was amazing. What a great place to come celebrate 250 years of freedom—show up as you are and lose yourself in the music.
We had a couple of draft beers, the smash burger and the delux, both of which are excellent sandwiches. The burgers do not come with fries, so be sure to add those when ordering if you’re super hungry like I was. Speaking of the fries, they remind me of McDonald’s fries—definitely not the best, but good enough. I think with some good quality fries, the burger combo would be fire (also recommend holding back on the salt, because my god they were salty).
Service is good, wait times a little long, other than that, the place is great.

“Crystal ballroom has a wonderful dance floor on ball bearings that gives you the sensation of floating. McMenamins drinks are notoriously overpriced, but that's to be expected at a corporate venue. While the chain is an Oregon treasure, they are still a corporation. That said, some of the best shows you'll find in the Portland area are at edgefield and if you've never been, it's a wonderful place to explore... Full of history, ghosts and adventure.“
