Haines Steak House is a rustic restaurant with a Frontier-inspired atmosphere, featuring decorations such as bear rugs, white buffalo heads, and mounted deer and elk heads. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional, making sure guests have a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant offers a salad bar with fresh lettuce and vegetables, along with a variety of dressings. The steak is cooked to perfection and is a highlight of the meal, with favorites like the Filet Mignon, Powder Valley Flat Iron steak, and chicken fried steak all praised for their great taste. The Prime rib is especially notable, cooked perfectly and complemented by tangy horseradish that enhances the flavor. While the mashed potatoes and gravy can sometimes be overly salty, the overall food quality remains high. Customers have expressed high satisfaction, noting that the food is amazing and the service friendly and efficient. The restaurant's cozy interior with log siding and wagon buffet adds to its warm and inviting atmosphere. Prices are around $40 per person for a steak, salad bar, and sides, which is reasonable for the quality offered. Parking is available in front and on nearby streets, and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible. The kid-friendly environment makes it a great place for families, and many visitors are eager to return for the excellent food and service.
