“Jus’ like everything about this establishment. Great food, great staff, etc. etc. Have been here multiple times and it never disappoints. Adequate food portions and everything is always fresh and the salads are outstanding.”

“I had wanted to go to Haines Steak House for some time. It is an old rustic restaurant with lots of old Frontier, Pioneer, Rancher, Farm decorations and atmosphere. A bear rug on the south wall, a white buffalo head by the door and lots of mounted deer, elk etc., heads. We were greeted and seated immediately. We came on a Sunday afternoon about 2:00pm. The waitress was so friendly and attentive but didn't hover. The steak was delicious - a big juicy T-Bone/Porterhouse cooked to perfection and not too much salt! But the mashed potatoes and gravy were so salty I couldn't eat them (that's the reason for the 4.5 stars instead of 5). The salad bar was really good. They had nice fresh lettuce (not that bagged, rusty stuff), and other fresh veggies, many dressing choices and the 'salads" like potato and macaroni, weren't swimming in Mayonnaise. The price was $40 for a steak, 1 pass salad bar, cowboy bread (delicious!), salty potatoes and a half of an orange slice. No Cowboy Chili. I liked it but I probably won't be going there again - just can't afford $40 a plate dinner!Parking: There are some (5-6?) parking spaces in front of the restaurant but no designated parking lot but there is lots of free street parking in Haines.Kid-friendliness: I saw some young children.Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is flat so I don't know why a wheelchair couldn't access the restaurant.”

“My daughter visiting me from Portland. We drove from LaGrande to this bakery for brunch! Amazing! Our food was delicious, service superb, and nice atmosphere! Will go back again!”

“Kind of gives me a Chipotle like Vibe to the ordering style, The guy there was super friendly and quick to get you going! If you're looking for something quick and delicious. This is your go-to without a doubt, and if you're also looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth their Stuffed Churros were perfect. I also got a bottle of their house made Thai Chili Hot Sauce and I'm putting that on just about everything! I normally don't leave reviews but this was the place to get one out of me.”

“Great stop for a quick and hearty meal of I84. Very friendly staff. We got the loaded hashbrowns and the pot roast sandwich. Both were incredibly delicious. The pot roast dip sandwich was just such a great comfort food meal. Lots of options on the menu and the dessert pies looked delicious, only wish I wasn’t so full so I could have tried a slice.”

“We came in for a quick breakfast on the go! Loved the service. , sipped our delicious decafe coffee while they made our breakfast sandwiches. We were on our way in no time. The sandwiches were hot, yummy and my GF bun was very good.”

“This small cafe has a huge heart. My family has a breakdown in this town and has no money. This little compassionate cafe fed them 3 meals a day for two days. Every time I go by there I buy a gift card for them to continue their kind help.Thank you to all❤️”

“Great pub atmosphere and really amazing beer selection. Their tap house across the street has an even wider selection. The food was lovely as well! The restaurant side is a great atmosphere also - families would likely be comfortable here.Vegetarian options: Find vegetarian options in the appetizer menu or modify a salad. A wonderful community partner. When you conclude that Baker City is a great community and if you're traveling, a fantastic place to stay for the weekend, go taste the beer at N7.”

“Best plate of dinner I’ve ever had. Like eating at grandma’s house. If I lived here, I’d eat here breakfast, lunch and dinner on a daily basis!Had the special: meatloaf, loaded baked potato, green beans with bacon bits and a side salad with home made ranch.”

“Gluten Free Pizza, Buns and Bread. Since being diagnosed as celiac I haven't had pizza. Found AJs corner brick and found that good pizza does still exist. Thank you AJ's I can't say how much this means to me. Your guys are great in my world. If you are gluten free a must stop local. Say Hi for me when you are there. ❤️”

“Absolutely love these guys! The staff, the beer, the music, the swag. We always feel welcomed here. This place is the opposite of pretentious. The craft beer is the best in the region, the staff is friendly, & my hubby says the old fashioned is delicious!”

“Not to be missed! What a great historical place! Easy to find, a quick drive or walk to restaurants/bars/entertainment. We stayed in the large Josephine Room and were charmed by the original shutters, molding, fireplace, and setting. The shared bathroom was not an issue. Everything is clean, clean, clean from guest rooms to bathrooms to the little pub to sitting rooms. We stayed one of the nights the pub is closed (no music but beverages are served if guests want). Twila, one of the owners, was at the ready with information and anything that may have been needed. Will be back for another visit!”

“Had the pleasure of snagging some takeout from this unassuming treasure. The star of the show had to be the pork chops. These weren’t just any chops; they were succulent, juicy, and so tender. The depth of flavor, with that perfect hint of sweetness and just the right touch of smokiness, made every bite a revelation.Next up, the salmon northwest salad - a refreshing and lively delight in every bite. The salmon was spot-on, flaky, and bursting with flavor, perched atop a bed of crisp greens and vibrant veggies, all brought together with a dressing that was light yet zesty. It’s the sort of salad that convinces you you're making smart life choices.And we can't overlook the carrot cake. I’ve been on the fence about carrot cake before, but this one won me over. It was incredibly moist, spiced to perfection, and that cream cheese frosting was simply out of this world. It was creamy, just sweet enough, and paired with the cake in a way that was nothing short of perfection.In short, this place is a definite must-try for anyone looking for genuinely excellent food.”

“One of my all time favorite coffee shops since high school. They're typically consistent with friendly, good service. They make the best white chocolate mocha of all time in my book and the blended bearded dragon is fantastic.”

“Great little spot for a nice selection of microbrewery beer. My dogs and I sat at one of the little tables outside for a couple hours. The bartender was incredibly nice, he even brought out water for the dogs in a metal dish that said K9-IPA on the side of it. If you are travelling with a well behaved dog, stop in and see them!”

“Great service, comforting food! You build your own sandwich and they have an option of a half sandwich and small soup. They had pot pie soup with moist shredded chicken in it, yum! Freshly sliced deli meat, freshly sliced cheese. I got pastrami and dill havarti, and you get a choice of veggies and I had their Baker Brew spread which is a very good oil and vinegar blend. Located on the corner of this chill town, small but spacious enough place, dark interior but big windows, not a huge amount of places to sit but more tables in the hallway outside the restaraunt. And they have a good selection of ice cream, which I didn’t get, but it looks great!Vegetarian options: 2 cheeses on your sandwich and choice of veggies.Parking: Street side, Baker usually has a lot of parking spots available.Kid-friendliness: Lots of choices for sandwiches and ice cream!Wheelchair accessibility: No step so wheelchair accessible, there’s a low curb on the corner of the street.”

“Yum! Our Harvest Host hosts recommended this place and it was worth the mile walk to and from the rv Park! Joey was so friendly. Customer service is his jam! It took us longer to decide what we wanted than it did to get our food. The fried ravioli was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, and the pizza was HUGE! We got an X-Lg so we'd have leftovers. I think it was even better cold the next day! They have video games, ping pong, and a little play pizza kitchen for little ones. The outdoor patio is pet friendly! Highly recommend eating here!Vegetarian options: They have ingredients like sunflower seeds, cranberries, and rosemary roasted red potatoes, among other fruits and veggies you can put on your pizza, plus several different salad options ?Dietary restrictions: With all the sauce, cheese, and ingredient options, I'm sure they could accommodate certain restrictions.Kid-friendliness: Games, the little play pizza kitchen, and one of the big tvs set to kids shows, they should be easily entertained!Wheelchair accessibility: No problem. “Good food with what you crave almost always ready. If not it, just a short wait that you can use to grab some drinks or other snacks is all it takes. Very convenient and priced appropriately for the convenience. Can be busy at times but still quick to serve. They do close the champs chicken a few hours before the Chevron closes so be aware when considering going here later in the evenings.”

“Wonderful little restaurant in Baker city. It was my first time in the town and was quite hungry. My girlfriend and I decided to take a walk and while we weren’t really in the mood for Mexican cuisine it smelled good coming through the door and decided to give it a shot.This place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! This is some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in my entire life, the tortilla chips were perfectly seasoned and crispy, the salsa had a depth of flavor my taste buds have never experienced.. in fact my girlfriend was basically drinking the salsa lol.I ordered the enchilada combo and a lime margarita which also did not disappoint. The flavor coming out of all the food and drinks we ordered was something I didn’t expect out of this little charming town. The server was all by herself in a busy restaurant and had a wonderful attitude, she took care of all her customers in a timely manner with a smile. All Mexican cuisine I have from now on in the northwest will be compared to this establishment. If you’re in Baker City don’t leave until you try out this restaurant.”

“The restaurant closes very early (8pm). They were very accommodating for our group of 10. Service was friendly but extremely slow.I split a blue cheese burger with a friend. We both liked it but were hungry afterwards and should have each ordered a whole one. Our spinach salad was also good.Those in our group who ordered the Caesar salad said it was awful. Overdressed with a not good dressing.I would like to go back and try the steak with blue cheese.”

“This is an awesome taco time. The food here is much better than the competitor that uses a bell in the name.. Taco Time actually cooks their food fresh or if you eat the other brand, they don't even know what kind of food they're serving you has. The meat has been cooked three or four times and is delivered to them in a bag and simply microwaved..Taco Time meat is fresh and you can taste it.Bravo!”

“Coffee was delicious highly recommend. Two locations though. I’m not a local. Just passing thru and the photos showed an updated building but when I pulled up it was a drive thru. Turns out the main location was down the street. Unless it’s a different business with the same name…. Still coffee and service was good.”
