We made a stop for gas and dinner while on a road trip. the service was friendly and helpful, the restaurant, menus, and bathrooms were very clean and tidy. We were surprised and pleased that prices were modest compared to other restaurants we've recently eaten at! Finally, the food was actually quite decent. It's OK. Food is good. Excellent vegetable soup. Don't count on a baked potato since they seem often to be out of them...which is ridiculous. They seem seriously under-staffed, but they're very nice people. Just increased prices, which is Ok..if..service and baked potatoes come along for the ride. When that happens, they get 4 stars.

I've had a great time with the courteous staff at the bar, to order food, & the motel. Very friendly front desk ladies. My problem is with the Chevron station on this property. The motel is open today during the snowstorm on 1/14/2024. I was able easily get a room to work nights in Halsey for 3 days. However today (sunday) during the snow & ice, the restaurant & the bar were both closed, so we couldn't order food at either.
