“We tried FishMongers for the first time based on other reviews and they were spot on. The smoked clam chowder was delicious and I think probably the best chowder I’ve had. The fish plate was also excellent and came with way more than we expected. It fed two adults. My daughter also loved the kids fish and chips. It came with goldfish and some fruit snacks which were a really great touch. I always appreciate it when restaurants add a little something extra for kids. We will definitely be back.“

“We make trips from Portland to Astoria just to visit Bowpicker and get our fill of the fish and chips. There is a somewhat festive vibe to the line and people from all over chat it up. The line can be a bit long at times but it is absolutely worth it. Make sure to bring cash and an empty belly. There are several picnic tables across the street or you can bring your own blanket to sit on the grass.“

“Me and my wife are on our anniversary trip from Washington. We decided to check out this unique restaurant as a mix of curiosity and being hungry after a long day of driving. We were greeted by Tracy right away. She was the best server you could ask for! She was patient with my indecisiveness on the menu (so many great dishes! We ended up getting a few different things) she was genuine and made sure we were taken care of promptly. The cocktails were great! The chowder was fantastic, and the oysters were phenomenal. The crab was fresh and we enjoyed every bit! The gator was good and I was pleasantly surprised at the exotic meats available. I highly recommend this place 11/10. A very unique and inviting atmosphere and you could not ask for better staff. Next time we are in the area we will be stopping in again! Thank you so much for the awesome experience!“
