On our way back to Pendleton from Portland, we stopped to charge our car. Then walked over to Solstice Wood Fire Pizza for dinner. We decided to order the BLBB pizza, a hot Kenyan Grey tea, and a huckleberry organic lemonade. Our server Brad N did an awesome job making our dining experience a real treat.
Solstice pizza has some of the best pizza I have ever tasted. I will be back.
We have never been disappointed coming to this restaurant and we've been there probably five times in the last year that we've lived in the PNW. All of the salads inside dishes, appetizers, pizzas everything‘s excellent they make really good craft cocktails as well and the service is usually amazing. Solstice Wood Fire Pizza & Bar is a cozy, relaxed spot with a classic wood-fired and slightly rustic feel. It is a perfect place to warm up and unwind after an outdoor adventure, like a snowy hike at Mount Hood. The pizza is consistently good, with a crust that has a nice char from the wood fire, is chewy but not heavy, and shows signs of being fermented.
Standout pizzas include the rich and earthy Truffle Mushroom, the fresh and solid Vegetarian, the phenomenal Detroit Sweet & Spicy, the incredible Green Wilder with a New York style crust, and the Cherry pizza. The Margarita pizza is also very yummy. They accommodate modifications, like substituting onions for olives or adding pepperoni. For dessert, the Apple Crumble is out of this world, and they sometimes offer specials like gluten free and vegan s'mores. The restaurant is great at accommodating dietary restrictions, including gluten free and dairy free needs, and is family-friendly.
While it can be pricier and the outdoor seating may feel cold even with heaters, the service is great and friendly. The overall experience is top notch, making it a hidden gem and a place worth returning to.
