Mellow vibes and good wine. We ended up taking home two bottles. The small charcuterie plate was a great pairing with the wine. Staff was very knowledgeable of the wines, vineyards, and area. We were also lucky enough to enjoy live music on a Thursday afternoon.

Hands down, our favorite Pinot Noir, Oregon or otherwise. Phenomenal with salmon!

I am now just realizing I never got the name of who helped us but she was working this morning (3/3/24) at opening and walked us through a beautiful tasting of some amazing wines to try before our wedding at the Ruins down the street, who uses The Pines. Not only did we get a lovely, incredibly knowledgeable explanation of everything but we also had such a fun time chatting and getting to know the history of the vines and the owner which was really cool. It was super comfortable and cozy inside, and I am now so looking forward to the wine we will be drinking on our special day! Thank you for making time for us and giving us such a wonderful tasting experience.

In my many years of wine tasting I’ve experienced the vast gamut of servers. You can hire any dullard to pour wine for the masses. Someone like LEIGHA is a true treasure. As I am considering purchasing a winery, I’ve taken very careful notes. This amazing woman should be treasured by the owner, her presentation of the wines is difficult to describe. Thank you Leigha, you made our visit very special, the wine isn’t bad either! ?

We had a lovely informative visit and tasted delicious wines and purchased some to take home. This is a delightful winery. Go for the history, stay for the wines.

I've led wine tours in Oregon for a decade. Of all the tasting rooms in the state, I consider The Pines 1852 the best! For so many reasons--location, price, servers, ambience, amenities, music, not to mention the wines made from historic vines! Hidden at 4th and Oak, The Pines is the perfect place to begin or end a stroll along Hood River's adorable shop-lined main street. Flights are just $10--ownership believes in affordability so everyone can enjoy. Outside food is allowed, and the service couldn't be more friendly--especially Leigha and Jeffrey. A wonderful cool dark bar, a cute shaded garden space, with regular local musical performances. I'll leave it up to you to describe the wines and find out why it's called "1852". Tell them Adam's review convinced you to go.

Great selection of red wines, especially the Big Red blend. Also enjoyed the Zins, even though I'm not usually a fan of that varietal. The atmosphere is like a cool saloon.

We took my Sons future in-laws that are out of town there on Saturday the young lady behind the counter was so knowledgeable about the wines and area it was enjoyable to listen and learn about the wines and the winery. The Old Vine Zine was very nice matter of fact we bought a few bottles to enjoy on the patio. Great spot to enjoy and great wines.
