Blue Duck Grill American •
22430 Paulina Lk Rd, La Pine

“We love giving a little back to the resort when we camp at Paulina. This little place at East Lake Resort fits the bill nicely.

Our server was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He was so humorous and welcoming. The service was prompt and the food was surprisingly delicious.

Starter fries .....double fried and so delicious.

Hubby ordered the habanero cheeseburger ( with bacon jam? Yum! ) He said it wasn't too spicy (slightly disappointed) but the burger was cooked to perfection. It wasn't one of those preformed patties either so definitely a big star!!!!

I had the fried chicken salad. There was so much salad and what? 3 chicken strips???, I couldn't eat it all. Chicken strips were not dried out as expected, and lightly breaded.

It was so nice sitting by the lake. We loved eating dinner but were too stuffed to have dessert. It wasn't too difficult to figure out our next step.

We went back the next night! LOL

Not disappointed either. Their mixed berry cobbler with huckleberry ice cream..... yum yum YUM

We try to get huckleberry anything when it's in season. The cobbler met all our expectations, and was definitely worth the extra trip back. She even brewed a fresh pot of coffee for my hubs.

The only downside was the conflicting radio stations. The music from the kitchen often overpowered the music in the restaurant. They weren't the same genre and I'm as open to mixing classic rock with classic country as the next person, but it was slightly distracting from the beautiful, scenic lake side views.

All I'm saying is when you camp in the Newberry Crater, give a little back to this adorable little restaurant at the resort that had been there since 1915. We need to keep places like this in business
