“WOW! We drove out of our way to get your famous cinnamon rolls, and they were dry and stale. My wife had never tried one and I kept bragging how good they were. We bought three that day Feb. 28, 2025. Just lost a faithful customer who drives 30 minutes out of our way.“

“Went looking for an amazing coffee shop in Newport and after 3 busts, found a real winner! When we came in there was plenty of seating, amazing treats on display for purchase, seasonal crafted drinks and a menu that had something for everyone! I got the blended matcha and my husband got the seasonal stroopwafel drink. Both drinks were made to order and they took care with our special instructions. Items came out quickly and tasted great! Next time I’ll need to pick up a goodie to try. 1st times the charm here. UltraLife has become one of my go-to places in Newport. Such a gem in the Nye Beach area. Perfect location near the beach, public restrooms and other shopping. Thank you UltraLife for your great menu options other than flat coffees, teas, ect. ❤️So good and friendly staff too! “Nothing happens when I click on the photo, it won’t let me load a photo of my black slimy translucent lettuce! The chalet is our go to restaurant for breakfast and lunch however, today I had a salad. It looked great, until I started eating it and got black, slimy, lettuce, and even the iceberg lettuce was mostly soggy. Some of the iceberg lettuce was even translucent, looking as if it had been frozen at one time. I would be humiliated to serve a disgusting salad like this one and not offering to replace the salad or remove the cost from the bill.“

“We were staying nearby and popped in for some breakfast. The person working the front was not very welcoming. She barely smiled or acknowledged us coming in the door. She was busy cleaning the counter and refilling some pastries. It was our first time there, and we thought we maybe missed "a way of doing something." Finally, my husband had to tell her that we were ready to order. We ordered two drip coffees, a bagel sandwich, and a burrito. It took a little longer than normal to get our food. This did give us plenty of time to observe the same girl do the same thing to person after person. It was not a friendly environment to walk into. After waiting almost 20+ minutes we took our food back to our hotel. There wasn't much room to sit in this place or even wait for our order. However, the food was absolutely delicious. And I would go as far as to say it was worth the wait. Just don't expect to make a quick stop if you are ordering any type of food. However, again, I will say it is worth the wait to get one of their food items!“
