“2 years ago I was in North Bend and stopped at this little cafe for lunch, ordered the Indian pasty. it was so very very good. I was able to return today and was so thrilled to get another Indian pasty. Still so good, definitely did not disappoint.”

“Very surprised by this gem and its food just trying to have a good bite on the way through, the local family hangout for sure and in a cool way. Looked very family friendly and fun even at 8pm. When i asked the lady at the pub if we seat ourselves she replied with if you want to which was a little annoying since it was implied i didnt know but everything else was really positive. My pickle chicken sandwich was great and my friends gluten free pizza was actually good in spite of me not really liking such things i had a slice and was impressed. I liked the craft bedford ginger ale also.”

“The whole team including Marco and Alfredo are so great! They have fast and friendly service, even when they’re busy. My favorite thing to order is enchiladas but I’ve tried other things too once in awhile like chile con queso, chile Colorado, shredded beef tacos, it’s ALL delicious! Everything is so flavorful. And their salsa? THE BEST! You can even get habanero in a squeeze bottle to add to your salsa bowl for extra spice. And for an adult beverage - their jalapeño margarita is SO GOOD!”

“Local place, a little off of 101. Not fine dining, but fine eating. Hostess gave us each a generous sample of their creamy clam chowder to close the deal! Two bowls of chowder and we split a fish dish. The Captain's Choice seemed to have a happy crew working there. We were very happy too.”

The meat was all cooked perfectly, tacos had a bit of a kick to them but wasnt so spicy it over powered the flavor. Will definitely order again. The small taco box fed 4 and we had a few extras. “Make sure to swing by this drive thru coffee shop. We are so glad we did!! We were travelling from Vancouver BC covering all of Oregon coast and stopped by many coffee shops but Jeff (or Geoff?) not only did make the best coffees but also had something for my 8 year old. This is in comparison to some bigger coffee shops in Florence and other cities. I will definetely stop on our next visit or if we pass through that highway. We are usually picky about the sweetness and Jeff nailed it without any specific instructions.

“We checked out the new North Forty yesterday and loved it. The place has a great atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our large group tried a bit of everything, but the hot honey chicken strips was a highlight, crispy with just the right amount of sweet and heat. The poutine hit the spot and the clam chowder was SO GOOD- super flavorful and clearly made with fresh, local ingredients and good price points. The cocktails were solid too! Simple, well-made, and a nice match for the food. We sat out on the patio and it was perfect, such a great spot to enjoy it. They put a lot of thought into the menu and the experience. All of us in our group couldn't stop talking about how good everything was! We'll definitely be back soon!”

“Visiting Oregon from LA. Wandered in to check out the casino and ordered the Mill Omelet at 8pm.

Ive eaten a lot of omelets in my life this may be the best one Ive ever had. Fluffy, not greasy, filling had been browned and crunchy.

For sure the Hash Browns were best ive had in my 56 years. Cooked to a perfect even solid crisp on the outside and fully cooked easily separate non greasy potato shreds inside.

Like I say, Ive been living in LA for a year on a travel nurse contract. I ate a meal out in LA nearly every day. And I just arrived to the quiet green Oregon coast. Was not expecting such a fantastic meal. Huge too.

This meal perfectly packed with cutlery and every possible condiment. Worth every penny of the $17. Very impressed with the chef whoever he/she is. Give them a raise.”

“Strangely very good. It's not a Chinese buffet as they once were advised. They have basic Mongolian grill, not all you can eat as you may expect. No seafood options, just chicken, pork, beef, tofu, noodles & veggies. If you want a quiet place to eat with little to no social interaction, this is the place. It's sad how dead it is inside, but they are somehow still in business, so I'd recommend trying it if you enjoy Mongolian grill food (just 1 plate) & don't mind the sad depressing atmosphere. The atmosphere will improve if people start going.”
