“This gem came up through my work booking program and I’m so glad I got to spend my last night of work at this amazing location. There was no cell signal but the Wi-Fi worked fine to make calls and connect to my computer. The views from my room were amazing! The cafe across the street also highly recommended. I can’t wait to go back with my wife someday to explore Oceanside and will plan to stay here on my next trip.“

“My friend and I stopped at the Blue Agate Cafe looking for food and a bathroom and a place to sit. We visited during Phase 1 of re-opening from Covid19. We were hungry and grubby and not from the area. But, we were met with eyes smiling from behind a mask and immediately felt at ease. After our order was placed, I asked about using the restroom facilities. I was met at the back door with a squirt of hand sanitizer so, mask on, I took care of my needs and washed with soap and running water, for 20 seconds, twice. We were offered outdoor seating in a pretty little back courtyard sheltered from the wind and full of blooming flowers. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the house made veggie burger and, as a connoisseur of veggie burgers, this was easily one of the best I have ever had. The service was friendly and just made me feel easy and welcome. Lunch yesterday was a delightful culinary and social experience. I highly recommend this small eatery to anybody wishing to be treated as family in all the best ways. Thank you.“

“While driving along the Oregon Coast, which reminded me so much of my hometown scenery, I decided this was a place we absolutely had to stop—and I’m so glad we did. Just as I imagined, the food was delicious and full of the warmth and care of a small-town kitchen.

Traveling with three children and bringing them into a restaurant is never easy, but the staff went out of their way to make special bear-face pancakes just for them. The kids were so excited, repeating “It’s so good!” again and again. My wife and I also enjoyed chatting with the waitresses, which made the experience feel incredibly homey and welcoming.

It was a truly wonderful breakfast in a very friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. Whenever we drive the Oregon Coast again, this is definitely a place we’ll stop by. Thank you so much.“

“The best chowder I've found on the coast! I may, or may not, have made a recent excuse to head to Tillamook to bring some home to Portland. Everything we've had has been fresh and of very generous portions.“

“ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!! The food is amazing-we tried several different burritos and tacos and were extremely happy with everything! The price is super reasonable for the quality and amount of food that we were given. The customer service was also very good-they were kind and accommodating and got our food (group of 10) out very fast. They brought out salsas for us that only added even more satisfaction to our experience. They also have covered and uncovered outdoor seating that is very convenient. 10/10 would highly recommend stopping by! We will be back!“

“After countless attempts, false hope, and near-mythical sightings, we finally witnessed the impossible: PRONTO PUP WAS OPEN. The clouds parted. Angels sang. Seagulls froze mid-scream. The Pacific Ocean itself seemed to nod in approval.
Standing guard out front was a giant corn dog you can RIDE LIKE A HORSE, and because we are clearly well-adjusted adults, my husband and I mounted it immediately and rode it like feral children while cars drove past honking. Were they cheering? Who knows. But if you want the full Pronto Pup experience, dignity must be abandoned at the curb.
We then declared, that we would feast!!
The Original Pup reminded us why classics survive generations.
The Pepper Jack cheesy pup was melty, glorious, and dangerously addictive.
The Louisiana spicy sausage pup brought the heat and chose violence in the best way.
The Zucchini pup had absolutely NO business being that good and yet here we are.
And then came the Pickle Pup.
A jaw-dislocating, life-altering, GIANT PICKLE wrapped in glory. I literally could not get my mouth around it, and I have a big mouth. This pickle changed me.
As if that wasn’t enough, we also had a cup of chili, which somehow made everything better and felt like the warm, comforting hug we didn’t know we needed.
The only pup we didn’t try was the jalapeño pup, not because of fear, but because legends require sequels. This was a calculated decision. A promise.
The staff were friendly, fast, and clearly operating at elite corn-dog levels. Service was phenomenal, prices were solid, and in a shocking Oregon coast plot twist: the bathrooms were clean. Not “fine.” Not “acceptable.” Spotless. Heroic.
Come for the pups. Stay for the rideable corn dog, the phenomenal service, the spotless bathrooms, and the validation that yes, Pronto Pup is real and yes, you should absolutely act unhinged while you’re there.
We will return.

“We were visiting the coast from Washington and we're staying near this bar. We stopped in one day for a quick breaking found ourselves back there 2 days later.
The pizza was very good, the service was excellent and the locals were welcoming.
They gave the Oregon Lottery slot machines and keno, cards and games, a pool table and jukebox.
One night was cribbage night, with several tables playing cribbage as well as people teaching.
The prices were reasonable.“

“The Chinese Garden Restaurant has new owners and it is even better than it was before. Everything is cooked fresh, and large portions, and high quality. It is also very reasonably priced for all the food you get and the nice environment. We love the hot and sour soup that comes free with an entree and the chicken lettuce wraps have fantastic flavor. The place is clean and always welcoming.“

So much that it cooked to quickly and turned into a cracker. The flavor was as always, only less of it. With such a low price point I do understand that the ingredients may have been less than usual.“
