“My friend and I stopped at the Blue Agate Cafe looking for food and a bathroom and a place to sit. We visited during Phase 1 of re-opening from Covid19. We were hungry and grubby and not from the area. But, we were met with eyes smiling from behind a mask and immediately felt at ease. After our order was placed, I asked about using the restroom facilities. I was met at the back door with a squirt of hand sanitizer so, mask on, I took care of my needs and washed with soap and running water, for 20 seconds, twice. We were offered outdoor seating in a pretty little back courtyard sheltered from the wind and full of blooming flowers. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the house made veggie burger and, as a connoisseur of veggie burgers, this was easily one of the best I have ever had. The service was friendly and just made me feel easy and welcome. Lunch yesterday was a delightful culinary and social experience. I highly recommend this small eatery to anybody wishing to be treated as family in all the best ways. Thank you.”

“GREAT FOOD/ GREAT STAFF. We had a late lunches of barbecued pork and avocado toast - both were delicious! Aside from the food, what really sets Currents apart is the helpful and patient staff. We had a bad experience with a motel and were looking for another place to stay. This entailed staying at the cafe long after we finished our meals. It is unusual to find customer service like this.”

“Today I tried the Flat Iron steak dish. Tender and tasty grilled slices of steak with potatoes and sweet carrots. The sauce made me drag each slice of steak through it, before it went into my eager mouth. I ate too much and I am NOT sorry. So good!”

“Surprisingly sunny and beautiful evening on picnic tables right by the water. According to their website they ferment the dough 3 days before baking for 3 minutes in a blisteringly hot wood fired oven with stone from Mt Vesuvius? Did i get that right? Anyway I liked the margherita best, it lets the flavors of good ingredients shine. Fun place to stop.”

“Great cafe, despite being very busy they execute everything very well. My omelette was fluffy, hash browns crispy, and coffee was also great. Would love to try some of their pies they looked amazing. If there is a wait you have to wait outside or in your car so bring a jacket! Came on a Saturday morning and only had to wait about ten minutes.”

“had my bachelorette dinner / drinks here & the owners went above & beyond for us. we were a bit late for our reservation but they still made accommodations for us. They kept their kitchen & bar open for us 2 hours past closing. The food & drinks were so yummy! They even took pictures for us outside🥰 highly recommend, super friendly & kind. “ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!! The food is amazing-we tried several different burritos and tacos and were extremely happy with everything! The price is super reasonable for the quality and amount of food that we were given. The customer service was also very good-they were kind and accommodating and got our food (group of 10) out very fast. They brought out salsas for us that only added even more satisfaction to our experience. They also have covered and uncovered outdoor seating that is very convenient. 10/10 would highly recommend stopping by! We will be back!”

“Stopped in for lunch and had the yummiest fish and chips, the smash burger special, and our daughter had a huge kids pancake topped with strawberries and whipped cream. The food was amazing, and the service was even better! We will definitely be back. Our daughters already requested we make it a regular thing 🤣.”

“Right on the water, and at sunset is beautiful. Order ahead at the counter and pick up when ready. Indoor seating. Staff was average, as was the food. Nothing bad, but not great. Had: fish & chips, tuna melt, captain's platter, the sockeye patty, and sourdough bread bowl clam chowder(this was great). Not a bad place to stop, but not a must stop.”

“Some truly exceptional wild ales on offer here. The owner (who was working the tap room when I came in and more than happy to talk hop shop) really leans into the available wine tools and ingredients on offer in the nearby Willamette Valley to make some really interesting Beers. I've had wild ales in the midwest and they were very different from this. Really a Must-Stop for any beer enthusiast out on the Oregon coast.”
