“GREAT FOOD/ GREAT STAFF. We had a late lunches of barbecued pork and avocado toast - both were delicious! Aside from the food, what really sets Currents apart is the helpful and patient staff. We had a bad experience with a motel and were looking for another place to stay. This entailed staying at the cafe long after we finished our meals. It is unusual to find customer service like this.”

“My friend and I stopped at the Blue Agate Cafe looking for food and a bathroom and a place to sit. We visited during Phase 1 of re-opening from Covid19. We were hungry and grubby and not from the area. But, we were met with eyes smiling from behind a mask and immediately felt at ease. After our order was placed, I asked about using the restroom facilities. I was met at the back door with a squirt of hand sanitizer so, mask on, I took care of my needs and washed with soap and running water, for 20 seconds, twice. We were offered outdoor seating in a pretty little back courtyard sheltered from the wind and full of blooming flowers. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the house made veggie burger and, as a connoisseur of veggie burgers, this was easily one of the best I have ever had. The service was friendly and just made me feel easy and welcome. Lunch yesterday was a delightful culinary and social experience. I highly recommend this small eatery to anybody wishing to be treated as family in all the best ways. Thank you.”

According to their website they ferment the dough 3 days before baking for 3 minutes in a blisteringly hot wood fired oven with stone from Mt Vesuvius? Did i get that right? Anyway I liked the margherita best, it lets the flavors of good ingredients shine. Fun place to stop.”

“Today I tried the Flat Iron steak dish. Tender and tasty grilled slices of steak with potatoes and sweet carrots. The sauce made me drag each slice of steak through it, before it went into my eager mouth. I ate too much and I am NOT sorry. So good!”

“had my bachelorette dinner / drinks here & the owners went above & beyond for us. we were a bit late for our reservation but they still made accommodations for us. They kept their kitchen & bar open for us 2 hours past closing. The food & drinks were so yummy! They even took pictures for us outside🥰 highly recommend, super friendly & kind. “4 bucks for a great got dog on a stick. Pump your ketchup or mustard into a cup, grab a napkin and sit at one of the many picnic tables.
Not sure if it's the original location for a place called pronto pup or home of the first ever pronto pup, or the first place anyone ever dipped a sweet sweet hot dog in some sweet sweet corn batter.
Watch for the place with the giant corn dog on it.”

“ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!! The food is amazing-we tried several different burritos and tacos and were extremely happy with everything! The price is super reasonable for the quality and amount of food that we were given. The customer service was also very good-they were kind and accommodating and got our food (group of 10) out very fast. They brought out salsas for us that only added even more satisfaction to our experience. They also have covered and uncovered outdoor seating that is very convenient. 10/10 would highly recommend stopping by! We will be back!”
