“Even though I travel the world touring with "my" artists, this was my first time in Portland, Oregon. Our friends booked us a personal guide (Adam Thorn Smith, highly recommended! ) who showed us around and made Yelp even sent us a message on the day like "wow - you know how to explore all hot spots on one day". So after the Japanese and Rose gardens, we took a first bite here at Henry Higgins, which was very good. I liked the ambiance, and the lady at the checkout was nice - just as you would expect from a place you go to ;-) I prefer places with tableside service - but we loved everything we had - and yes, I would even use the word great for their bagels. I will not understand, though, why my breakfast sandwich with a toasted bagel, cheese, egg, and meat and a small bag of chips was cheaper than my wife's same bagel with cream cheese and egg salad (no chips, no cheese, no meat). I generally also have a problem when places do not offer any service but take my order and make me pick up (= "over the counter-service" only), suggesting to tip the same amount as if I were in a full-service restaurant, particularly when they had charged restaurant prices in the first place ($6 for a coffee, $11 for a regular, toasted bagel with cream cheese and egg salad). Again, we liked the place, even loved the bagels, would come back - but to rate five out of five stars, "surprises" would have to be on the positive rather than negative side.“

“Slowbomb is on my regular rotation because they have great coffee and they know what to do with it. The breakfast sandwich menu makes this place a one stop shop in the morning. You can text your sandwich order in ahead of time to make your stop more efficient as well. Cookies and pup cups too!“

“Honestly one of the best things I've ever had flavor wise! I got off work, was craving a bagel real bad! Asked Siri and she took me to PuddleTown Bagel. I got their Turkey Everything Bagel with the works! I seriously ate it within a few minutes and wished I had ordered two! Sooooo freaking GOOD!!!“

“The only powdered chocolate cream donuts anywhere in town (and I've checked), just the way Winchell's used to make them: absolute perfection! The other donuts are incredible, too, but the powdered with the poof of chocolate icing is my go-to 4 LIFE! When my husband and I journey 25+ miles to a Sesame Donuts and our box of donuts is in our car, I may spontaneously serenade my donuts. They're THAT GOOD! 🎵 "Oooh, chocolate poopers, you are the best donut in the world!" 🎵 😄“

“Absolutely adorable sandwich shop - so glad I dropped by on a whim. The turkey pesto is my favorite, about out to Lindsey for the rec, she was 100% right it's perfect. Breakfast sandwiches are also amazing. They have even convinced me that oat milknis good, my chai oat milk latte is so good it's now all I want after a Saturday morning yoga class. I plan on personally keeping them in business but help is appreciated.“

“Great place, nice ambience. Service was awesome. Appetizers and salad came out quickly. Pizza came out right as we finished then up. Pizza was cooked perfectly and the toppings were generous. It's a bit on the spendy side, but I highly recommend this place. 👍“

“Good food- has Greek Fries and Lamb Gyro. Very good! Great portions. Live music tonight for the porch fest, which was nice. Had. Tangerine Dream cider which was super tasty and refreshing.“

“What a great vegan breakfast bagel! I have tried both the sesame and the jalapeno bagel, and they are equally delicious. The bagels have a wonderful chew to them and is definitely one of my favorite bagels I have had yet in Portland. The sandwich itself is really messy but nothing that a few napkins can't fix!“
