“I wanted to write a review because I’m moving away from Portland and the last year Sarah has been my day bartender. She celebrated everyone’s birthday through the year and on my last week living here on my birthday made me a card for regulars to sign and I was even Captain of the ship for a day at one point.
She always has my drink ready, she’s thoughtful and protective in all the ways you would want your local bartender to be. I will always make it a point to come here on her shifts in the future when I find myself in Portland during the day.
She’s introduced me to amazing people; considered me in conversation with others to help me out when I just shared a simple life problem.
She treats everyone here like family and that is what will make me come back and I thank her for the friends I have met here at the ship.
Ps. Food gets one star because I haven’t had the glizzys but they smell good.

“Its nice to go there and chill out, relax and meet people, you could play pool if you want to or sit in front of a poker machine and spend the money you owe somebody. Nobody will bother you if you don't want them to, or you could talk to anyone that will put up with you. It's always a nice small crowd from all walks of life. There's people from all over the world that get along in harmony. The food is your normal bar fare with some specials, lots of different beverages, I'm a soda pop guy myself but they have beer, wine and mixed drinks, I think you will find something you like. Check it out for yourself, and if you have a good time, stay, if not leave. Behave yourself and be kind, nobody's looking for trouble here, just a good time, or to be left alone, it's your choice, but bring your smile to share, someone might need it. If you live in the neighborhood walk there, if not take a cab. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!! I know someone who did and there not here anymore and 2 other people are not either . “This place is a hidden gem. It's very unassuming from the outside and once inside, the darkest cleanest dive bar. There's the dark side and the light side, both served food by Libbie's restaurant. Dont ask me how that all works but it does. The chicken cordon bleu sandwich was recommended to me and was delicious. They even have purse hooks under the bar top which if you're a woman, you know. I just wish they were open later then 8pm.

“Close to home, inexpensive drinks, all the tvs have football, there's keno, 2 pool tables (free on sundays), and slot machines. The other day they let me watch spongebob at 3pm. Who could wish for anything more?!“

“It's a proper little dive. Nothing too crazy, cheap enough food, though definitely over salted. Got to to try the East Bay NA beer, which was really good. Morgan (if I remember correctly) was a chill bartender taking good care of her regulars. Outdoor smoking in front was nice, too. Will be back if I have a few hours to kill in the neighborhood again“

“The name had me expecting something straight out of a crime show, walked in fully braced. Turns out The Trap is actually more “boots and a jukebox” than anything sketchy, total plot twist.
Pours are heavy enough that one drink basically counts as two, bar food hit the spot, and there’s a patio if you want some air between karaoke performances.
Speaking of karaoke, people show up ready to perform, though they did seem to prioritize regulars over anyone else wanting to sing.
