Didn't have a bad bite and the service was friendly. In the realm of fine dining, Arden offers exceptional value. That's not to say that it's only about price to quality ratio though. They deliver on quality and enjoyment on a more objective level ultimately. My partner and I would both love to return. The Prix Fixe menu was a great choice and I recommend that, but either way you go I'm sure you would enjoy whatever you choose.
Arden always have a great combination of flavors. The staff is knowledgeable on their wine. We fell in love with it since our first time there. Now it's our special occasion go-to restaurant.
Arden is one of the wonderful Portland restaurants and shouldn't be missed by anyone who enjoys good creative presentations and an excellent wine list. A real gem. Great people, positive vibe, and excellent food.
Amazing as always. Tried a little of everything and nothing ever disappoints here. Will be back again soon
Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday, nice vibe, staff very friendly! My wife and I ordered the pork tenderloin which sounded really good, unfortunately it was slightly undercooked, and it took so long to come out that we were past it. The staff were very attentive, but at no time did anyone keep us updated on its progress! Our guests ordered different things from the limited menu. and my wife's red wine was full of sediment at the bottom. Obviously this was the dregs of the bottle. The final straw was when the bill came. A two and a half percent surcharge to cover the credit card charge....Really!!!!!! Either build it into the meal cost, or suck it up as other businesses do. I have seen the explanation that it covers healthcare and a living wage for their employees but that's not the public's problem. Pay your people properly. The owners really need to remember that there's a lot of choices for dining in the area, and this going forward would not be my first choice
Amazing food and service. We had delicious oysters, incredible zucchini appetizer and gnocchi with shared trout main. Beautiful wine, great cocktails and wonderful atmosphere. Really up as good as any Michelin starred restaurants we've visited in the U.S.
The food, service and atmosphere were amazing. I never knew you could make tomatoes, brussel sprouts and zucchini delicious.
If you haven't been to Arden yet put it on your list. Just a fabulous experience. Every dish was amazing with layers of flavor and texture. Wines were lovely and service impeccable.
Arden is a delightful Pearl neighborhood restaurant that consistently serves great food and wine. Last night I enjoyed a burrata-tomato-melon salad dressed in a light chili inflected vinaigrette and Foie Gras with peaches that I slathered on Ken's artisanal bread - all washed down with French Chardonnay. All that goodness for under $50 excluding tip.
Arden never disappoints. Food was creative and well executed. Service staff is always attentive and knowledgeable. We look forward to our next meal at Arden. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Fantastic experience, super impressed with the food (GET THE TASTING MENU! The 4 courses is a lie, it was like 9 courses, for $75, a total steal), and with the service - our waitress was not only super-attentive, she shared additional recommendations in the city. 10/10, cannot recommend enough.
Stunning in all respects. If you love creative cooking with great textures and unexpected falvor combinations that make you stop, think and chew, eat here - you won't regret it.
While the food is quite good and rarely disappoints, the specialness that was once dependable is lost. An excellent restaurant experience should begin the moment you open the door. You should feel elevated and comfortable throughout your time. And leave feeling like that was dinner worth experiencing, sharing and paying for. The noise level was loud, the staff not tuned in, the music obviously the staff's choice. It wasn't as inviting as it once was. We were not welcomed with pleasure or sent off with the feeling that our time and money was appreciated. Automated and aloof. The food and presentation were strong. But these days and at today's prices, you expect more.
One of the four dishes we ordered was well prepared and seasoned. The trout entree specifically was poorly cooked and the server seemed nonplused by half the plate not being edible.
We participated in the Women of the Gorge evening and it was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious and the wine pairing was spot on every time.
