Wonderful seasonal selections and creative construction of dishes. Great spot for date night.

Amazing food. It would be even better if less salty :)

Arden is such a gem. I've been here several times over the years, and I've always had a lovely experience.

The menu changes regularly, and I can't recall ever having a bad dish here. The food is beautiful and artfully presented, but still approachable and unpretentious. The shrimp toast seems to be a standby, and is one of my faves. On a former visit, we enjoyed a duck for two dish that was perfectly prepared and so good. All of the snacks are tasty nibbles that set the tone for the meal, and the pastas are simply sumptuous.

The wine list, of course, truly shines. This is a place where you can ask your server for recommendations for wines to pair with your meal, and you know you're going to get great recommendations.

The interior dining space is larger than it looks from the outside, and the vibe is perfect for date nights, after work hangs, and girls' nights out. I've also always seen at least one family with children when I've dined here, so I like that they are welcoming of families.

If you're driving here, I've never had a problem finding street parking nearby. But, there are garages close by as well.

Can't wait for my next visit!

I ended my last review with see you the next time I’m in town and I meant it.

This was first meal on my first day. I basically chilled in my room after checking in and took the time to relax before my reservation. I walked over from my hotel which took under 10 minutes. The perfect amount of time to work up an appetite.

The last time I was here, I did the tasting menu with a couple of friends. This time around I was by myself which meant it was less food.
I chose the seat at the very corner of the bar. I had a full view of the kitchen and the chaos.
Plates of food came flying down my corner. I went in so hard in the beginning and crashed so hard at the end. I couldn’t hang by the last one, but saved room for the dessert. They ended up wrapping my leftovers along with the snacks I didn’t finish. I went to town on all the food the following morning.

Just like last time, the dish that stood out the most was the pasta dish. One of the servers caught me mid shimmy after I took the first bite.

I have to mention how amazing the service was. I’m always impressed when a busy kitchen staff has their shit together. It’s poetry in motion. How they don’t crash into each other when so much is happening. Every person who dropped by my corner was so nice and friendly. Most importantly, I didn’t feel rushed.
The post meal calamansi treat was a nice touch. It woke my senses.

I’m glad I had dinner early. By the time I was finishing up, more patrons were checking in for their reservations.
I walked back to my hotel with my bag of leftovers and a j to enjoy on my stroll to end a fabulous Friday.

See you again next time.

Also want to point out how perfect the playlist was on 6/5 from 6:30pm until I left.

Incredible service and consideration for my wife's gluten free needs. Tom was really on top of helping us get a table for our 10th anniversary. The food was excellent and unique....not just your standard burrata or beef tartare. Awesome experience all around.

Creative menu. The food presentation was pleasing to the eye, flavorful and savory. The cocktails were also outstanding. One of the best dinner outing I’ve had.

Man. When you want to go somewhere with impeccable service and mind blowing (mouth blowing?) food and wine, come and let yourself be taken care of. The $$$ is completely worth it as every bite is poetry and every sip is in perfect harmony.

I cannot believe it took me this long to get to Arden! I'm already planning my next visit.

We ordered the oysters, little gem, shrimp cake, burrata, and goat cheese pasta, and more and every single dish was a hit. Im a pretty picky eater but there was something for everyone, and it all felt intentional and inspired. The wine list was a gem. Thoughtful, well laid out to help you navigate such an expansive list, and clearly put together by someone who truly loves wine.

Arden has such a genuine local vibe, charming and authentic, I felt right at home and it is the kind of place that feels like a gift to have in this city. Don't wait as long as I did! You’re missing out.

Came for our wedding anniversary. Best meal we had in Portland over the last 6 years and we eat out a lot and have tried all the famous places in the city. Food, service, atmosphere, everything top notch and could not have been executed better. The flavor profile is unique and outstanding! The prices are also incredibly fair! Had a bunch of cocktails which were outstanding as well. The bar made a special cocktail for my wife, came up with it on the spot after she told the waiter what type of drinks she likes and that was outstanding as well.

We went here for our first wedding anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. We had roasted asparagus & the pork. The pork was cooked perfectly, the asparagus came with a sauce that made me want to lick the plate.

Service was attentive without breaking into our conversation. The prices were perfectly in line with the quality.

The food and atmosphere here is quite nice, and the food here was absolutely spectacular. A couple of things to keep in mind about this place: The food menu for Arden changes frequently so some of the items you see posted here on Google Maps might not be available the next time you visit. The other thing, when it comes to drinks, this place specializes mostly in wines, and beer options are limited. So if you're more of a wine connoisseur or simply entering the world of wines, then this is your place. In fact, there's a special menu option for wine pairings!

My favorite dishes from this place was the Grilled Quail Yakitori, the Iberico Pork Rack, and what I think was called the Garden Vegetable Spatzle.

This place is always great. There is a stylish vibe to the crew of the open kitchen, focused and busy but not loud or frenzied. The service was personable and easy, with really nice pacing that allowed for wine pairings and a chance to build an appetite before the next course. The food was fresh, creative, and prepared with care. I am always surprised that I don't see this restaurant on more best of Portland lists.

Delicious modern cuisine. Very fresh and innovative. We had the chef’s choice: 4 courses for $75. It was totally worth it!
