Seriously the best coffee I’ve ever had, hands down! The atmosphere here is 10/10, super cool with the whole sneaker and basketball vibe. The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do.
They don't have a giant menu on the wall, but that's the beauty of it – you tell them what you like, and they craft the perfect drink just for you. It's an experience, not just a coffee run. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, and it was pure perfection—creamy, rich, and balanced.
I wish I could come back every single morning. If you are in Portland, you absolutely must check this place out. It's more than a coffee shop; it's a destination.

Friendly people and delish coffee!

Horrible customer service on 09/28 due to no acknowledgment when we came in nor while we waited patiently for 5-7 minutes. Both had very low energy and not one smile at anyone coming in. When we were finally served, we made the mistake of asking for recommendations and he actually said “hmm, I don’t know”. We were like “HUH”? I then began to offer a few ideas and still received very dry responses and after asking for decaf coffee she chimes in with suggestions and I said sure. Why then when my order was ready, she called it out and I didn’t respond and then she tells me this is yours and the drink isn’t even coffee, it’s an apple cider??????????? How did I wind up with a cider after we chatted about a decaf coffee???? That’s what happens when you have zero interest in your customers, their experience or voice. Super bad experience - so disappointed and will never return.

Definitely a MUST visit---- for a multitude of reasons! This is the ONLY place to get coffee in Old Town/Chinatown, I tell everyone about Deadstock and feel good supporting such wonderful humans.

As others have noted, this is a cool little coffee shop - tucked away and unassuming. There is no menu when you walk in. The vanilla latte was perfectly executed and is easily in the top 10 I've had across the country (and I've had a lot!)

Smooth and simple – just how I like it. The process was seamless.

Although there really ain’t a visual menu the barista at the bar told us they can pretty much make any coffee, latte we’d like. To my surprise when we asked her for something with pistachio we were given a real treat! The latte was amazing, one of the best ever. My wife got a coconut latte which was also a delight. The barista was super polite and answered a barrage of our questions.

I absolutely love Deadstock Coffee! The vibe here is super chill and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to grab a quality cup of coffee or get some work done. Their espresso is rich and smooth, and the baristas clearly know their craft. Plus, the space itself is stylish and cozy, with great attention to detail. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Portland, Deadstock Coffee is definitely worth a visit if you appreciate great coffee and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!
