Doc Marie’s Reviews
Great LGBTQ BAR—heavy on the L&B&T. Good femme energy. 💖 Love it here! Karaoke every Thursday.
Really cool vibe, good drinks. Music was a little loud for talking near the bar but there’s spots to go it’s quieter. Looks like they’re having a few events soon I’ll try to come back for. Oh and the staff were all super cool and welcoming.
This is a very safe, calm, fun place to go. They have great Veggie options and interesting drinks.

Doc Marie's is a queer-friendly bar in Portland that offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ+ community. The bar is known for its lively atmosphere, with events like salsa dancing classes, '90s dance parties, karaoke on Fridays, and live music on weekends. Customers praise the friendly staff, the historic building, and the overall positive vibes, making it a beloved destination for those seeking a chill, cottage-core vibe in the city. The venue features a cool drink menu with nice, strong drinks for a good price, including popular options like the Purple Haze shot and the Lavender Lemon Drop, which is described as a unique and delicious drink. There are also food options, with crispy chicken wings and sweet potato fries, though some wish for garlic aioli with them. The bar has a small outdoor patio deck seating area, perfect for groups. The dance area is lively but can make moving between the stairs, downstairs bar, and seating a bit tricky. Bathrooms are usually clean, and the space feels safe and comfortable, especially for trans people. While not wheelchair accessible downstairs, the upstairs might be more accessible. The crowd tends to be mostly white, with many lesbians and trans folks, creating a friendly and easygoing atmosphere where everyone can feel at ease. Overall, Doc Marie's is a great spot for drinks, dancing, and celebrating diversity in a welcoming setting.
