I guess I adore chopped sandwiches now! Or you know what? I adore Dos Hermanos bread, because that’s really what was doing the heavy lifting on each of the three sandwiches we got and sampled. Unless you’re feeding a family of four the half sandwich is more than enough. We love the spice on the Italian sub (BadaBing). Spice lovers, I suggest you get some jalapeño chips if you don’t get a sandwich that has something spicy or zesty.
We had no problem eating our sandwiches in the air conditioned bar next-door, it was a hot day and the café was really really warm. The guy in the bar next-door was super kind and accommodating and said we didn’t have to buy anything to eat there, (tho we did). Can’t wait to come back here!
I love this place the bread is so good it makes the sandwiches even better. It reminds me of the bolillos I’d get in Mexico City with my grandma as a kid.
Stellar sandwiches and fantastic customer service
First time here after discovering about this establishment in a Portland news article. Staff are über friendly and knowledgeable. The bread is baked fresh daily. Just ask about what the daily specials are. Bread Flores are rotated. I ordered a 6 pack of ciabatta bread rolls and a loaf of sourdough. Both are soft and tender. The concha I ordered is soft and has a sweet crunchy top. Reminds me of Mexico. The coffee is delicious as well. Will need to return to this place more often if I can.
Nice staff. A little pricey for conchas, although they are in interesting colors. The staff were a bit perplexed when I asked for the conchas to be placed in a plastic bag - how else do people keep them fresh? It is worth the visit.
the place smells amazing and the baked goods meet the expectations!!! got a lovely concha, the texture was perfect.

You got a customer for life! I walked in for the first time to pick up an order as a Dasher, the fresh smell of bread was something that I couldn’t forget. I finally ordered online today and picked up my order. The flavors the tastes were all absolutely amazing! 💜 keep it up!

I wanted to try this place out for a while. I was already a big fan of their English muffins (seriously the best) and the pastries I have tried and liked. The chopped sandwiches were fascinating and I finally gave them a try today. I am bummed to say they are not to my taste. I get that the “chopped” thing is their signature but it takes away rather than adds to the flavor. Mixing everything together results in no individual flavors coming forward and you end up with a flavor that is not what you would expect and not in a good way. It was a homogeneous disappointment. Also, every bite I took a chunk of ingredients fell out.
I tried the Bada Bing and the Irish Goodbye. The Bada Bing tasted overwhelmingly of peppers. The peppers being in every bite means you don’t get any of the flavors of the meats or cheese. The flavor result is a mildly spicy salad on bread. It ate maybe a ¼ of it. The Irish Goodbye (basically a Reuben) was seriously disappointing. Again, i'm convinced the chopping and mixing destroys the flavor. I couldn’t taste corned beef or sauerkraut or swiss on that sandwich. It again was just a homogenized mess. I only ate about ¼. Short of it, won’t be going there for those sandwiches again I am sorry to say.
The portions are huge, I got half sandwiches and they are the size of what I would call a whole. But if I was going to spend almost $30 there I would just buy bread and pastries.

Very long line on a Saturday before noon. They’re understaffed, so nobody was setting out clean water glasses or wiping down tables. The sandwich was very good but not good enough to justify waiting in a long line.

Saw this place on Tik Tok and I’m so glad I went! This was the best sandwich ever. I never thought to have it all chopped and mixed together like that. You really get your moneys worth and the bread is perfect! We will definitely be back! As soon as I seen the sandwiches on Tik Tok I literally got dressed and told my husband we had to go try them out. Good food is so hard to find these days. It was clean, quick and great customer service as well.
