As others have posted, still using stale bread, way too much mayonnaise. Overpriced, cramped, and out-of-line rude male employee. Nicht mehr. Done. Fertig. Am able to bring my business elsewhere.

A little late review. During the Christmas season, I stopped by to get 2 boxes of Gluhwein since they always carry a specific brand that I like. They stacked the gluhwein in the very far right corner as always. Since I wanted to pick up a few more items, I swam through narrow and crowded area and brought the wine to the cashier first and asked a 50 plus yr old guy, who could have been an owner, if I could put the two boxes near the cash register and come back with a few other items and pay them all together. Again the store is very small and crowded. The guy said "No, you can't" in a very loud combative tone. I was really shocked by his voice and attitude. I said very politely that I just had to pick up a few more stuff and would be back in a few seconds. After all, I only have two hands, and two boxes the gluhwein were heavy and awkward. Once again, he told me, actually yelled at me louder than before that I could not. I was so dumbfounded by his hostility and rudeness. I even attempted to deescalate in a friendly tone that he must have been stressed because it was so busy during the holidays. He continued to be combative as if I was an enemy. I have been to this store sporadically past 12 years. The service is usually pretty bad and prices are a bit high but I tolerate it in the past and want to support the small business. He sounded like a 5150 hold candidate who was about to have a heart attack. Never again. not worth it.

I got Cajun sausage the other day and noticed in the inside. There is potato chunks….looks like a filler to me and it certainly wasn’t fat. Not sure what’s going on, but I’ve never had potato filler inside Cajun sausage before. Is this a way of saving money? you’re not telling the public what you’re putting in the sausage…. Make sure to list the ingredients of what’s in the sausage!
Avoid. Had previously witnessed staffs' verbal violence towards customers when shopping here in the past and thought it odd, so decided to try out a less busy time frame to pop by. Today we've learned it's not an experience we care to repeat being on the receiving end for either. It's hard enough in the world without folks tearing into each other. Wish they had more kindness from their minds and mouths.

This place was recommended by our German friend. We went in and it smelled amazing. We didn't end up making a purchase because there were so many people and it was hard to tell where the line started and ended, Who was shopping, and who was ordering. It was the weekend before Christmas so maybe that's why it was so chaotic. When we get back up to Portland we may try to get in again.

Well, an edelweiss is an alpine flower found in the Euro Alps, which is nowhere near here. So they are telling a little fib in the name. But it's okay. They have a great germanic meat market of sausages and the like they prepare in house, and a swell market of Germanic foods and notions. So it's pretty swell if you like those things, and you should visit. They also have a really swell lunch counter, so you can enjoy their wares in house.

It doesn't have a zero star or I would give one. Sent my nephew in to grab some German sausage and many other German dishes to bring back to Southern Oregon because my husband and his sister were raised on German food. They were rude to him, yelled at him for coming on a Monday and talked down because he couldn't pronounce some of it. So sad. Customer service is horrid. Never again!

Small but fun place to find all sorts of food. Chocolate, cheese, mustards and best of all the deli counter. Paprika salami, nurnberger sausage and Hungarian brats are my favorites so far.

Great hidden gem. I didn't get everything I wanted on this trip, but will be making another. The bacon is delicious.
I tried to buy food for 50 people four times (website that doesn’t work), two calls, and an in person visit. Each time I tried the man I spoke to (guy who makes the sausages apparently) made the conversation very difficult and he was incredibly rude. I just do t get having to beg people to give them your business. Will never shop this store again.

I had high hopes for this European Deli, especially given its claim to offer authentic German food, but my experience was a huge letdown. The atmosphere felt more like a generic sandwich shop than a traditional German deli. The menu was limited, lacking variety, and several classic German items were missing.
The food itself was the biggest disappointment. The bratwurst was dry and overcooked, served on a stale bun. The sauerkraut was bland, and the potato salad was overly mayonnaise-heavy with no real flavor. For the prices they charge, I expected much higher quality.
To make matters worse, the service was inattentive and slow, even though the deli wasn’t busy. I asked for recommendations, and the staff seemed disinterested in helping. Overall, the food and experience were far from authentic or enjoyable. If you’re looking for real German cuisine, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

The old women in the entry was super rude. You should not run a business with a person like that.
