What a gem! We don't eat vegan exclusively but have egg and dairy allergies so getting burgers with cheese and ranch and shakes was awesome! The buddy stix (mozzarella) were not bad but the Paddy's Melt and Newport Nightmare were both great and the Smashed to pieces shake was so good we came back another time just for more shakes! This place is located inside Swan Dive and did not have a sign outside (as they moved recently to the kitchen inside).

GNARLYS is the BEST vegan burger and brunch in Portland. Period.Their fries are amazing, the burger patties wow even my non vegan partner, and their sauces are incredible. The ranch is sooo good.Today we tried their brunch for the first time and got the biscuits and gravy (the best vegan version I’ve had at a restaurant) and the french toast, and WOW. It’s easily the best vegan brunch in Portland. If you’re on the fence about giving it a try—don’t be. It’s simply the best.Dietary restrictions: Great for vegans and nondairy folks.

Everything was so incredibly delicious! The burger had so much flavor and was cooked perfectly. The fries are addictive. The shake tasted too good to be true. Definitely my new favorite burger place. They’re inside the Swan Dive and the atmosphere is really relaxing but also fun in there.

Gnarly's has been on my radar for a minute but wasn't really attainable until they moved to Swan Dive. It's honestly so good, probably the best vegan mozzarella sticks that I've had so far. I believe that I sat next to Mr. Gnarly at Fermenter less than a week before they moved to the current location, and I just want to say that the neon sign is great and is definitely not giving hair salon vibes. I'm looking forward to going there when it isn't 25 degrees outside and enjoying a milkshake.Vegetarian options: It's all vegan baby

Gnarly's does it again!!! My kids needed fuel after a long morning at the Arcade nearby and Gnarly's delivered in every way. I'm NOT a fan of BBQ but the Gorilla Fries were absolutely delicious. I don't eat like this often but if I do it's GOT to be Gnarly's. I have found MOST vegan "junk food/comfort food" to leave me with a seriously upset stomach. And I've NEVER had that issue with Gnarly's. Not laden in grease and clearly whatever patty they use IS NOT Beyond because that's the worst on my tummy lolI usually order ahead and it's perfect to have your food ready!! I definitely LOVE Gnarly's!
I've been here at least 4 times since I found this place! If you're craving what you would have at like that secret place only locals know about that's a hole in the wall burger dive who has the best burger in town, this is it. And for my SoCal people, think In-N-Out meets Big Boy Burgers. You pick your burger, your fries and a shake if you're feeling fancy--day made. Come here after a hot tub soak for a special treat. The owners are super rad and they do a lot of things in service to our houseless neighbors.Just good people and amazi burgers.

Walked here with my wife after hopscotch down the road a few months ago. Great burgers, filled a spot I forgot could be filled (we were not sober). I got the Dang and my wife got the Sally Weaver. I've now had burgers from here while sober and can still say this is the best burger I've had in Portland!

Hands down the best vegan smash burgers in PDXDietary restrictions: All vegan
Get down here quick and get yourself the best burger and fries you'll have! I have a family member who won't even try anything if it's vegan, but they ate the burger and didn't even know any different. The whole night they kept telling me how it was one of the best burgers they've ever had, so there ya go, you can't even tell!
