I love this restaurant. It only serves breakfast and brunch and is open from 7 am to 2 pm. Parking can be difficult to find as this is a trendy neighborhood with lots of shops up and down Mississippi Ave. Also be prepared to WAIT to get in. This is a very popular place and the food is very tasty. Don't expect to hold a normal conversation, cause this place is always packed and the noise level is loud. That being said, once you get in and seated, you get served fairly quick, and once your ordered is placed it only takes about 15 minutes to get your food in front of you. I heartily recommend the Chicken fried steak. Its really good. So yes, I recommend this place and give it 2 thumbs up. Its worth the wait to get in.

Whenever we are in an unfamiliar area, I always check google maps for restaurant suggestions. This place was only half a mile from the hospital, where we were visiting a family member. When we got here, it was a challenge to find on street parking. We knew it was going to be good when there was a waiting list and a line on the sidewalk. The reviews were excellent and it was definitely worth the wait.

the food is usally good here but the service on the other hand not so much there was no line and they still took 20 mins to seat me then the people that walked in behind me were eating before I even got my order taken im sitting here now waiting for my food now mind you I order the samething every time so I don't even need to use a menu and the group that walked in after me had to look at the menu and decide what they wanted while no one said a thing to now they are finishing their meal and I'm still waiting on my food finally the food arrives still as good as ever but the service has gone down hill

We had a friendly waitress. The food however was horrible, reuben sandwiched was 0/10 tasteless and meat was like plastic, toast was greasy. Having lived in NY, this sandwich is a joke👎

My daughter took me to Gravy on N. Mississippi Ave., on July 30th for my birthday. We had brunch at about 10:30am. The wait time for a table was brief and it was just for three people.
The wait staff were organized, polite and quick. The food was fantastic. I had crispy hash browns that were very crunchy on the outside and nicely done on the inside. They tasted excellent. I also had their own fennel sausage. Lean and seasoned well to my liking. Both of my table mates had biscuits and gravy and they are better than any they have had before. The gravy is extra rich 💕. We all took leftover home.
I highly recommend this place. There are vegan options on the menu as well.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Probably one of the best breakfasts I have had in a resturant.
Huge portions. Service was good.
Expect a wait because they are busy. Worth the wait.

Absolutely delicious. Very limited street parking but worth the walk. Update, we've been several times now and I realized they put limited salt & pepper on the meals which I LOVE! I can then do it to my tastes.

My biggest issue is the portion size. The meal was so huge I immediately got a box to take it with me. I could barely eat a 3rd of it. With inflation so high these days, it would be nice to offer regular size portions for a nice price. Everyone one I watched had to take home portions. Make it smaller, charge less, and turn over clients quicker...
