If you're looking for a strong cup of coffee you might as well tell him to put in an extra shot cuz you won't find I don't even like the coffee and I like a lot of coffee. There's another place over by plaid pantry it's a donut shop but it has the best coffee

We were at Portland Tennis Center for a tournament and we wanted to find a place for coffee. We found them on the map and decided to give them a try.The shop has a welcoming atmosphere. They have some unique flavored coffees that are amazing! Some of the best coffee I've ever had! Go out of your way to give them your business!! ?

The coffee good and the food selections are great. Everyone behind the counter is delightful except for the middle aged man who is rude every time I come in. I always order a lox bagel with veggies. I know it's not on the menu, but it's also not hard. Today he actually made snide remarks with the barista gave him my order. Atleast he got the order right this time.
I’m a tourist from SC. I ate at Grendel’s every morning during my trip. The food is GREAT, and so are the lattes. I particularly liked the egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches.Staff is friendly, too.

So, I came here with some friends to have a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. That was all fine. We sat outside and were approached by a homeless woman in a wheelchair. We didn’t have money to give her but offered to buy her a sandwich. The man behind the counter was SO RUDE to her. He said “you ask people to do this all the time” when she hesitated and didn’t know what to order.I am so appalled at this level of service towards a person who clearly needs help. We paid for it, who in the world cares if she had people buy her food, and to treat her badly??? We do not know her situation or why she needs help. She simply does, and for you to try and make her feel bad, or us for helping her, is disgusting. I hope you never have to be a day without food or shelter and that you never have to come across someone as rude as you.

I wandered in there one day, super hungry, and desperate for coffee. The atmosphere, the servers and the owner were all very welcoming. I walk right by there every weekday morning. So it became my go to for breakfast. I just messed up my day If I don't have the $ to stop there. It's my favorite place.

I came in today on a rainy day. The workers were kind and chatty. Both drink and food came out quickly and both were delicious. I will definitely be in more :)Dietary restrictions: They have alternative milk which is wonderful for someone who is lactose intolerant and prefers the taste of oat milk
