Definitely not the same owners or cooks from back in 1995...lunch special is big but the quality and freshness of food is not ok. My sweet and sour chicken you can tell was fried again to make it seem just fried, my fried rice looked like it was refried as well from yesterday batch And I didn't get soup with my order like you're suppose to. On top of that my good was ready under 5 mins....ummmm....already cooked sitting back there much??Don't come here...youre best off traveling to China star off division for AMAZING quality food and way better service or if you like Vietnamese go ti Pho Kim right down the street. I'll never come here again...yuck....
Started off what felt like a long wait in an empty diner I'm glad we stayed food was great would give 5 stars if they played a little music in the background
The best house special fried rice in the whole Portland in my opinion. Try it out and let me know what you think about it and a place you would recommend me to go try out.
Smelled funny and the v.p. room was so frickin hot it was like a sauna.
I just had the General Tso's Chicken. It was great. When they say it's SPICY here. IT'S SPICY!!! Well done great food and fast service.
Excellent Chinese food - I had the Combo Plate #6 with Almond Chicken Lol Mein, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Pork Fried Rice & Cream Cheese Puffs. All delicious and highly recommended.
This is excellent chinese food. Made by mom of the family, so no hired help. Home made food. The only thing not home made was the spring rolls. Typical pre-made in a factory, but passable. No dining in yet, so eaten in the car. Very good food.
Very friendly , away from the maddening crowd .You're losing if you don't try it !
Good place to eat and awesome prices.
Not saying the food was horrible. I am saying the food left alot to be desired. I cannot believe all of the great reviews this restaurant has received. I will keep looking for someplace that better suits my palate

service: lady was friendly but english not so fluent. Staff was happy to accommodate our arrival time.food: exceeded expectations for other chinese food in the portland area. as a frequent chinese eater, i immediately noticed that the food is not overly salty, which was a pleasant surprise!portion: huge amount of food for the price. i ordered 2 fried rice and a general tso chicken, expecting dinner. now i have leftovers for at least lunch tomorrow and maybe dinner. rice was flavorful and literally bulging out of the container.i would return for sure.
If I could I'd give it four and a half Stars. Got take out on Christmas because it was one of the few places open. Pleasantly surprised the flavors are amazing..
If you looking for American Chinese food this is definitely one of the best in Portland.
Great BBQ Pork.good food
Their food is good their prices are adequate their customer service has got to be some of the worst for a restaurant that isn't fast food. They never update their online app that they use for orders so you'll never be notified your food is ready you just have to show up and hope that you don't have to wait very long or that it hasn't been very long since the food came up. They're not overly friendly but I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that from when I can gather anybody over the age of 20 that works there does not speak English.
