This is more of 4.5 star review. The more I thought of this place, the more I realized that there isn't much to complain about here. The food is good and most importantly the fish is fresh. There is a huge TV that plays silent videos of Hawaii's beaches and nature that provides a nice vibe. I've been 3x, and all with a fellow foodie and we've enjoyed it every time. I think this place is only let down by being in a somewhat crummy shopping center. It's worth a visit.
I had high hopes based on the previous reviews but was a bit let down.First, the food was not bad. I'm a Hawaii girl, so maybe I'm a bit picky, but there was decent flavor. It just had a little too much of an old fishy tasty, but the sauces helped. I liked it overall, but if you're charging me $15 for a small bowl of previously frozen fish, it better be good!Additionally, I'm not sure if that man working was having an off day, but he did not smile once. I have only been to the Beaverton location and was excited to learn that there was another closer to me. I love their bowls so much. The only difference between the two spots is that Beaverton has a seared Albacore and this location doesn't. I still loved the raw tuna, but would love it if they also got the seared tuna. Friendly service!
