The salsas are a highlight, especially when paired with dishes like chicken taquitos. The empanadas and huarache are fresh and flavorful, making it the best Mexican food spot in inner SE Portland. Recently, the restaurant has gained praise for its well-prepared food made from fresh ingredients, standing out among many Mexican food carts. Special dishes like the quesabirria and taco salad with pastor are popular, with the quesabirria offering good portions and presentation, though it can be a bit spendy. The molé negro sauce was especially praised for its chocolate and pepper flavor, complementing wings and fried plantains. Overall, La Naranja continues to impress with its tasty offerings and friendly service.
