5 stars for the apocalypse! Went on Christmas Eve and less than 20 stores were open and maybe like 40 people, including kids skateboarding inside the mall. Feces and drug residue elevators can take you from one wasteland to another. You can walk around for minutes without seeing anyone. I’d give it 5 stars but it smelled like the one Cinnabon that was still open. Need a place to sell weapons to foreign countries and don’t want to be outside? Come here! At this point they should open the doors to shops and give people money to keep things open.
Although it still has some nice stores like hot topic, this shoppy mall is dying. More than 50% of all the stores have disappeared. No food court anymore. I was trying to get busy on a rainy day, I wasted my time here.
I'm giving this review out of some nostalgia. This was the mall I would walk in my teen years. I used to ride max to get here, no longer does that feel like a safe option. If you treat this as a simple family outing that is cheap and pleases a 4yr old, it is perfect! Today was bitterly cold, yet I was able to walk around a well lit, mostly empty, nicely decorated mall with occasional bursts of color and activity. As an introvert, it's even better than I remember it when it was crowded and loud in holidays past.We went for the carmel corn, and to be honest there really isn't much else. Not all of the stores open at 10. There are a few clothing stores, a Lego store, comic book shop, a few jewelry places, and the magic shop that does afternoon shows. There is a Barnes and Nobles, Ross, and a hair salon too. A few places you really have to hunt for since there are spaces where shops are closed and locked up or simply up and gone. There are a few food options, but only two places looked like they served a real meal. Lots more Ice cream, cinnabon, tea, and pretzel like options. As of December 22nd 2022, it is decorated nicely with several trees and a section for Santa (although he wasn't there at 11am). The ice skating rink seemed the main event and it didn't seem too crowded. All in all, we walked and looked, only bought some popcorn. It was fun and inexpensive (well, the popcorn is a bit pricy). And our car was still there intact when we left! Although as a safety note, it doesn't feel safe to park in the covered area anymore. There is plenty of parking out front in the open anyway.I didn't see any security while I was there, inside or out. But inside the mall seemed full of normal people.
The mall is physically beautiful! As of Fall 2022 it is still struggling to fill shops after the pandemic, but those that are there are really awesome. The mall blends well the classic "mall experience" of national chain stores and the Portland quirky-character stores (which honestly shine in this environment!). There's ice skating and roller skating and more. I hope more stores move in, because this could be really cool!
I’m reviewing my one and only visit from 3 years ago after Google prompted me to, and because, holy cow I saw that mall pre-COVID and it already looked COVID in there in terms of it being a ghost town. The ice rink is the standout feature, hardly anyone on it though, one guy was a pretty good amateur figure skater. The food court looks like it used to be amazing. More empty retail spaces than occupied, probably less now. The surrounding area, mainly the park after dark, is what kept us from returning. It’s just right there between the MAX and the mall, now way around it.
It is a ghost mall! A lot of business are closed.
Love the Lloyd!! I Wish nothing more then for it to come back too it's former glory... Many great memories.
This place is absolutely gorgeous. It's very sad that most of the stores that use to be here are gone. About 40% is occupied. I'm sure at 1 point this mall was super busy but thanks to COVID more places went down. It's a shame
A very odd place to visit.Google says there are over 135 shops inside. However only 20-30 were trading. It is either on the way up or is dying slowly. The ice rink is a nice touch and Barnes and Noble is the biggest store there. There were a few food concessions. It was certainly quiet and easy to reach by train from downtown.Everyone that we encountered were friendly and helpful.Worth a visit to see an empty shopping mall, but not great for shopping.Shame really.
Very surprising to see the photos of this place from only a few years ago. Today it seems like a prime candidate for one of the YouTube abandoned mall series, and it's only been a relatively short period of time. Even all of the EV chargers outside, which are relatively new, are out of order and have been for a while, also seemingly abandoned. Seems like this place is on a sharp downfall and won't remain standing for that long anymore.

Third floor of mall is mostly deserted.
The food card is not totally open yet due to Covid. Last time I went orange Julius was open, a Japanese place and a Chinese place and barbecue.
The mall is beautiful but it is really sad to see the place like a ghost town. When we went there, there were only a few people inside the establishment and I'm sure it is not more than a hundred.
What once was a bustling safe happy place for locals to shop, eat and catch a flick has now become no more than a sad remnant of yesteryear and how things were once done. Now there are no more department stores in the mall after Nordstrom, Macy's, JC Penney and finally Sears have all abandoned this venue. The ripple effect in turned caused so many of the other big names to also call it quits here at Lloyd Center and either consolidating locations to somewhere else or abandoning the retail model altogether and focusing on their online platforms. For example stores that were once the first thing that comes to mind when one says the word mall are nowhere to be seen such as the Gap and Old Navy or foot locker have long called it quits here at Lloyd.
Hardly anything there. DQ, BBQ place, Chicken place and sarku Japan (when they are open) that's it. There used to be subway, Greek stuff, longtime ago McDonald's...salad place but now.. a mere 4 or rather 3 1/2 places, not even ice cream or yogurt. Clackamas has WAY better options.
