They were open unlike what the website said at 7:15pm and I was able to sit at a table and eat. Quiet and peaceful at this time of night on a Sunday and the staff was nice. The happy meal was a great deal for a 4 piece chicken nugget w double fries (you can opt out of apples and add extra fries) and my apple juice choice for $4.49 total with NO tax. I didn’t know OR or at least Portland had no tax on food at the airport. Happy w that. The only thing I wished: the fries were cold even though the food came out very fast under 7 minutes.

I thought it would be a one time thing but the first time I went my fries were hot to the touch like they dipped it into the fryer and the inside weren't cooked just nasty wet grease fries so I told them only to get more the exact same. I thought the next time I came to this airport it would b better only to have them do the same nasty stuff to my hash browns but worse my sausage in my muffin had a bite takes from it u could see the teeth marks I was beyond disgusted 🤮 I've had it and wouldn't eat there if it was the last place standing I almost threw up while eating because of the way it tasted it was like I was drinking pure frying grease 🤢

I asked for a small empty cup when picking up my burger cause I wanted to share my friend’s coke. I understood people were busy so I waited for 10mins after the first staff heard my request and ignored me( I found that he pretended to be busy and apparently avoided the counter so that I can't catch him again.) I thought maybe that was a weird guy so I asked another girl. Same result. I guess maybe that's because （instead of simply being mean) they are not suggested to give cups away in the airport and also cannot reject customers directly? Anyway, sad.

the automated kiosks suck. I want to speak to a human being. Your prices didn’t go down when you cut the human out of the equation. Make something so convenient so frustrating. The guy eventually came over and was very helpful. But there was no need to have an issue in the first place.

It’s a McDonald’s. In an airport. If you expect even three stars from that, then the problem is YOU.
Pros: When it’s quick, it’s quick. Using the mobile app makes it quick. Plenty of seating space. Staff is usually very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It’s not always quick. When there’s a crowd, it tends to snowball into gridlock pretty quickly. Chronically understaffed. And even at its best, it’s MCDONALD’S food.
You get what you should expect. When the staff is right, you may even get it with a smile. And if you’re a regular they’ll remember you. But far too often, early in the morning while there are crowds waiting on Alaska and American flights, this place seems to get overwhelmed and can take (I’ve timed it) 15 minutes or more to call your number.
The verdict: Well it’s not like you can just zip down NE Airport Way a couple miles to the next McD’s, so it’s this one or a stale Twix bar.
This McDonald’s is terrible!! It was a good thing our flight was delayed otherwise we would have paid for food and not gotten it. Took nearly an hour for us to get our order. They ran out of chocolate milk, so of course the kid had a meltdown. We didn’t get the cookies we ordered, and for 3 meals we got 1 packet of ketchup.
