Best airport food anywhere! I had the Tillamook sausage biscuit melt and it was amazing. I live in the portland area and I've never seen a Tillamook Market. Why are these not all over the place and not just in the airport? I'm glad I'm a frequent flyer so I can come back to this gem soon! Please open more locations!
Since childhood years and years ago, my favorite sandwich has been a grilled cheese sandwich. Growing up in Oregon in the '50s and '60s, the cheese MUST be Tillamook. Yes, I know that Tillamook Creamery has changed and Bandon Cheese is now produced by Tillamook---yeh, yeh, yeh. But with a mid-noon delay to board a flight out of PDX I was astonishingly soothed and comforted by a plain cheese sandwich and a bottle of water. Heaven. Nostalgic heaven. I had the most extraordinary experience at the Portland airport on Monday night. There were not many things open. I do not usually fly Southwest, so I was not familiar with the concessions in this part of the airport. I thought I might just grab some cheese and then get some kind of healthy bowl somewhere.
