It was absolutely amazing. I proposed to my girlfriend of 5 years here & the manager let me go up to their rooftop garden. The best proposal ever! Overlooking the beautiful downtown Portland. Absolutely amazing place and the owner was extremely accommodating. She set up lights on the garden for us before we went up. 10/10 would recommend every single time. Thank you Noble Rot!
We tried the soup, a small salad, and the charred cabbage (no meat) dishes, as well as a couple drinks. I was a big fan of the soup, which I believe was celery heart and maybe rutabaga (?). The salad was quite small (which the server made sure we knew about--thanks!), but very fresh and flavorful. Kudos on their preparation of the cabbage--it had a very pleasant combination of flavors and textures. The ambience was pretty noisy for our visit. We were happy for our fellow diners...
Excellent food and good service. The restaurant is on the fourth floor and the elevator is out of order so this is not a good destination for those with mobility concerns. You have to walk and down the four flights of stairs, no exceptions.
