I went with my fam and we ordered the combo, katsu curry, and udon salad. Our favorite thing was the crispy fried root vegetable fritter, not sure what it was called and the tater tots were nice. The katsu was nicely crisped but lacking salt or a sauce drizzle, and the curry was quite bland and we asked for salt. The salad was fine, but pretty standard. The onigari with pumpkin seed miso and yuzu was weird tasting and the ginger pistachio was also strange, we didn’t finish it....
We shared the combo plate and the tempura udon. Both were really good, great presentation, and unique flavours (buddhas hand onigiri!?) The strawberry red bean daifuku was insanely good!
This place was delicious. I came back multiple times throughout my time in Portland. I was happy to find something close to the convention center that had such good food. It was much better than the vegan options offered for my conference, haha. That staff was really helpful and made some great recommendations. Make sure to try the desserts too!
