I am positively smitten with this place. Everything I want as a solo traveler. Simple solid rooms, engaging staff, plenty of socializing space downstairs, an RSVP sauna. when the rooftop deck and restaurant reopen for summer I plan to come back for more. Ranger coffee next door is aces too.
make sure to take time to explore and ask the stories of all the repurpsed architectural details.. a fascinating trip into Portland and Icelandic history.
