We were walking by with a grumble in our bellies and caught a whiff of wonderful food. So we popped in and discovered a very fine Caesar Salad and super good personal pizza.
The lettuce was fresh and crisp, with crunchy croutons the dressing was perfect.
Our pizzas were very tasty.
Plus the the way the food was presented and plated was artistic.

I'm from Chicago and have eaten a lot of deep dish pizzas. Lou Malnatis is my favorite, followed by Gino's East, Giordano's is the worst. The Star reminds me of Gino's East style and taste. If you're looking for an excellent pizza, that is true to a Chicago style deep dish, then I highly recommend The Star. Sauce has big chunks of tomatoes, excellent balance of flavor.
