The food is excellent and what you would find in New Mexico. There's not much seating, so I suggest getting it to go.
Classic Portland hole in the wall cafe. We had breakfast burritos made with their own tortillas. Best ever. Good coffee and friendly atmosphere. Prices are nice, too.
Came here on the last day of summer, so I actually got to sit outside.I had the primo taco ? (the one with pastrami)It was fantastic, as was Alyssa (sp?) who took my order. She was so wonderful-I really enjoyed chatting with her and swapping recipes.A real Portland experience all the way around!And the price was right for one person for breakfast ?
Pepper Box Cafe is a classic Portland hole in the wall with excellent food. The breakfast burritos are a must-try, made with their own tortillas. The Huevos Rancheros and Calabacitas are also highly recommended. The dining area is cozy and the prices are decent. The Primo Taco with pastrami is fantastic, and the service from the staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is enjoyable, especially when you can sit outside on a nice day. The self-serve water is a nice touch, and the variety in seating options adds to the charm of the place. While the prices are fair, getting a good deal on a delicious meal would make it even better. Overall, Pepper Box Cafe offers a real Portland experience with great food, service, and atmosphere.
