Could do a better job with seating especially for weather and bathrooms need updating, but vendors are wonderful, especially original halibuts

We were the 1st customers of the day. So the frying oil might not have been up to temp yet. With that in mind, our halibut was not golden (it was pale yellow, at best) and a decent portion of the batter was mushy. But the service was wonderful and the fries were tasty! It was also uncomfortably cold in the indoor seating area and all the dusty and broken video games along the sides of the room didn't really help the vibe. As we were getting ready to leave, someone came in and turned the TV on and turned on a heater. But we had already thrown most of our $65 lunch in the trash. Save your money and drive to The Captain's Galley out in Gresham, for fish and chips. Much better food and a WHOLE LOT cheaper.

The food was nice. Loved the vibe, just wish the common sitting areas would be cleaner.

Such a fun place. Great for families or just if you want to get a lot of different delicious options and either hang out with a beer or take it to go. All the food options are amazing, its definitely a neighborhood institution --lots of folks who come here run into friends or make new ones while here
Kid-friendliness: Kids are everywhere here--theres a fairly large Friday contingent of families who always come and their kids all are very welcoming. The boat table is well known, it's pretty fenced in as a space and there is a big toy and book library, not to mention some old school video games and pinball to show your kids how to play Pac-Man or street fighter
Wheelchair accessibility: It used to be a service station, so it's pretty flat. I don't know if the bathrooms are completely up to ada code

Just came for coffee on my way to class, but I will definitely be back to try the food carts and just hangout in this beautiful and interesting space.

Loved the boat theme and the entire vibe here. Tried the tuna and oceano poke bowls at Kawthooleipoe and it was delish!! BEST one I've had in Portland. It had a great mixture of sweet, salty and crunchy elements and they did not skimp on the fish. It was a very generous portion. Will DEF be going back when we're in Portland again. ?

Awesome choices for all kinds of different food! Service is great at every food truck, and food is delicious. I recommend the Döner Kebab, Sushi Burrito, Indian Lentil Soup, and the Cannoli for dessert. All authentic!

Every time I recommend this place to friends, they come here and 80% of the carts are closed. I'm here on a Saturday at 7pm and of the thirteen carts, nine are closed. The kebab cart seems to be open about three months out of the year. I've been burned too many times to be able to recommend this place.

Aesthetically, Piedmont Station is probably the coolest food cart pod in Portland. Everything about the décor is fantastic, from the slightly-claustrophobic lanes running between the "rustic"-looking, junkyard-chic dining shacks, the decorative lighting, spray misters for hot, sunny summer days, and even a boat-turned-dining table, you're unlikely to find a pod with more soul that this one. Couple that with some live music, and a fantastic array of cuisine choices, a coffee cart and a beer shack, makes this collection of culinary carts my new favorite!
Sadly, like many other pods, some carts don't honor the operating hours that are listed online (whether it be Yelp, Google, or their own websites); an experience we encountered once again when attempting to visit a specific cart. But that just means we get to branch out and try something else, and we were very much satisfied with our alternative, the eminently excellent Halibut's.
Piedmont Station is worth a visit for ambiance alone, but the perks and provisions for purchase, promote his pod to peak palate-pleasing preeminence!
