In our never ending quest to eat every gyro in Portland, Safari does not disappoint. Monster portions, as in one gyro was plenty for 2 people, fresh and exotic side sauces, and the green salad was great too, I forget what it was called. All I need to know I learned in grade school:And thats All Four Food Groups in the pyramid!(Were in this excellent meal)
The outside of the establishment is very quaint, the interior has a warm feeling with comfortable chairs and hand sanitizer at every table. They have an impressive variety of drinks available in the cooler. I hadn't eaten anything all day and was restricted by a small budget. Now Closed Permanently. Spoke with the owner today and he said they had to close for good. To bad as we found this to be an excellent place with large portions and reasonable prices.
