Super cute spot | excellent matcha

What a super cute little spot! I’ve never been to Japan before, but I can imagine shops over there look like this. Decorated tastefully with lots of cute cat decor and allows lots of light to fill the place. We were greeted and helped.

Let me tell you, you need to get the matcha tiramisu! It’s for matcha lovers. It’s incredibly light and a matcha delight with the powder and topping over this delicious spongey goodness. It’s not heavy at all. Not super sweet, it’s perfect. It’s my favorite treat here that will bring me back for more. Apart from that treat, I enjoyed a matcha latte with soy as a substitute and made my drink unsweetened. The matcha is definitely quality here, but I think I should’ve gone with the sweet option because my drink was completely more on the bitter side. Totally fine and enjoyable if folks that want more of the bitter taste, but I think my perfect matcha latte from this place would be with the sweet option. It would be the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. My husband enjoyed their pistachio cream latte. He highly recommends this one too. We overheard a woman give them a compliment regarding their banana cream matcha, saying it was the best she’s ever had after trying many other spots. This piqued my interest, so I will try this next time.

We love the cute cakes and especially the rainbow one. We don’t drink coffee so can’t talk about that. Closed Monday. Booo

I haven’t been here for a while, and when I came back, there’s some new seasonal items like Matcha cheesecake. However, I went with my classics which made my kids like. The rainbow cake has the clouds which make it even more beautiful.

The cloud affogato has hot chocolate Option, which I want to get the next time I come here because I don’t drink coffee or espresso. I’m excited for my next visit.

Earl grey tiramisu 😍 so many places miss the mark on getting enough Earl grey into baked goods, but this was absolutely perfect. So soft and decadent. We also shared the hazelnut latte, another point for flavor! Smooth and not bitter at all. Staff were very nice. This place is adorable and I'm so glad we were in the area!

The seating leaves a LOT to be desired, the food is impressive though and we will be back. Has the usual icky tipping system for someone who simply hands things to you over a counter.

Some of the best sweet treats in Portland

This café is so darn cute! I love the Japanese theme in the decor as well as the edible offerings, both drinks and food. Their pastries are really well made and adorable, and I'd highly recommend their cheesecakes, as they're delicious and pretty fairly priced tor what you get.
