We checked Facebook prior to 11am on Thursday the 9th of March said it opens at 11 am. We drove from Brush Prairie got there around 1215 today only to find out it was closed. Don't think it had been open this week. Great burgers but you lost us for good. Bad management. You need to wake up.

I've been going here since 1980. Although I don't work close by anymore I still make it often. The Special, their main burger is great! Have it every time I'm there. Give it a try!

BANGIN BURGER I've been a long time customer at Steve's counter and will cheerfully patronize this joint as long as the musty doors will open. If you're happy to see mental instability on display in order to get the BEST thin Patty gut-bomb burger you can get in Portland, this is the spot for you. For best results, order your burger well done and old man Stanich will absolutely give you a show. Come here on Wednesdays and Saturdays to get a delicious burger to wash down with some cheap beer on draft. It's a Portland staple.

I rounded down from 3.4. Hadn't been in years so I stopped in for lunch one day while working in the area. Same place different vibe! While still decent, the food didn't hit the same as when I lived in the neighborhood 10+ years ago! Burger patty was not seasoned at all, the amount of fries was somewhat of a joke. I did the $2 fry add on with the burger and it was a SMALL fry! Some other patrons ordered a medium fry with there two burgers and got at least three times the amount of fries for $1 more, $3!

My husband had the World's Greatest Hamburger and he was a happy guy. I shared his fries and they were perfect and crunchy the way I like them. If you have never been definitely Go for the burgers and the service.

We showed up 55 minutes before they closed. They said the chef had already left and if we wanted to order food, the service would be bad because the servers would be cooking the food. They said they close the doors right at 3 when they close and we couldn’t order after 245. We got here at 205. Plenty of time. He was extremely rude through the entire conversation. They just lost long time customers. My dad has been coming since before I was born and he just wanted a good burger.
Bestest best burger EVER. Fries are great too, but the burgers are best to none! The employees are family so that makes this place even better!

I have loved Stanich's since the 70's before the big "remodel". (I hung one of the first college banners)..George and his family did it all sooo well. "A SPECIAL, and a PITCHER" ! Fast Forward: 4 years ago, just before they closed, my family surprised me with a party at Stanich's for my 80th Birthday. It was so PERFECT!

After calling around to try to find somewhere for an after-memorial service get-together, I called Stanich's. Like everywhere else these days, they had to see if they could get additional waitstaff that day. Steve called me multiple times to update me, and he definitely came through for me. We appeared to have the whole Stanich family working that day. The food was delicious, hot, and Patty was a delight to talk to. Milo did a great job too - he even came in on his day off to help us out. This was a favorite gathering place for our dear friend, her family, and all of their Grantonian friends. It really meant so much that Steve went the extra mile to make this happen. I sincerely hope you will give Stanich's another try. Thank you Steve, Patty, Milo and Nick.

The waiter seemed to be playing an improv game where he didn't know anything at all. Mom told us what we should order before we were allowed to enter the premises. It was lovely. The food was great and it was exactly like I remember from being a kid in nepo
