I stopped by this convenient location on my way home from work, and now, just when I'm out shopping. My thought is that the only thing that could use improvement is the parking lot exit onto NE Jessup Street. There's no obvious easement onto the street. Thank you Felix. ?

“Amy had the best customer that I’ve had in years. She was working by herself with a long line of customers, in a sketch area, she was so kind, so sweet and happy to help. She made a great sandwich. “I have been a regular here for years, the sandwiches are good and the employees are always awesome.
That being said, it seems that management doesn't seem to care about staffing the store appropriately. At most there are NEVER more than 2 people manning the counter, no matter how busy, and that is not the employees fault, that is understaffing by design to maximize profit and is an unethical business practice by the franchise owner.
There is another issue, and its a MAJOR one. Today I went into the store for lunch and it is easily over 90° in there...The two staff members were sweating profusely, (also they had to have the toasters and oven going) and were obviously struggling while they did their best in temperature-wise unsafe conditions.
When i say it was uncomfortable, I mean the store wasn't just warm...it was stifling and *H*O*T*, like 7th level of H*ell hot. I felt like I was suffocating just being in there ordering my sandwich and I can't imagine having to WORK in there for hours.
I asked what happened and was told that their AC unit broke again, just like it did LAST SUMMER when they didn't fix it for aTWO WEEKS, which was also during a heat wave. I bumped into the repair person on my way out, who said the compressor went out AGAIN (his words) and that they need to replace the whole unit but they won't.
Shows how much the owner of this franchise values not only their customers, but MOST IMPORTANTLY, their crew. Boss man or lady, without those workers, you are NOTHING.
Learn to treat them right....and get your freaking AC fixed, it is shameful that employees making probably minimum wage have to work in an unsafe environment.“
“The food is subway. Nothing more, nothing less. Seems everything is kept at temp properly as it never seems to upset my stomach (unlike other subways).
The service, at least late night, is superb. The guy is always quick and friendly when we go in to grab our food.
The atmosphere is what you'd expect for an urban late-night subway. Not fine-dining, but friendly enough to come grab a snack, and much calmer than most other 24hr portland establishments.“
“I WAS ABLE TO COME IN TODAY AND NOT GET RUSHED WITH MY ORDER!! Whenever i try to come in and that dude that has green hair is working I just walk right out, he is mean, pushy and never knows what all goes on the sandwich if you ask for it how it comes.I HAVE TO TELL HIM WHAT IT COMES WITH! “I was in here at 7:30 today and the gentleman behind the counter was busy with a mobile order. I watched him grab every item and triple check the mobile order was correct. When he got to me he made me the best subway sandwich I’ve had in years. Perfect build exactly the way I asked for. 10/10 five that man a raise!“

“Classic Subway atmosphere. The manager, at least, is an excellent Sandwich Maker dedicated to a positive customer experience. My favorite is an Italian BMT on Italian Herb & Cheese bread with extra pepper jack, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and all the veggies except lettuce. Sometimes I change up the sauce, which makes it fun!
Vegetarian options: This location has veggie patties! Also, did you know? If you don't get meat, or the veggie patty, then they don't charge extra for avocado.
Dietary restrictions: It's build-your-own, with ingredients of the bread clearly listed. If you have a serious issue, just let them know, and they'll change their gloves and wipe down the line before they begin building your sandwich, in accordance with the health code. Then, just don't order anything you're allergic to. Easy!
Parking: Very limited parking. The parking lot is very small, shared by several businesses, with lots of time restricted parking spaces.
Kid-friendliness: The classic Subway atmosphere in a relatively safe neighborhood makes this a fine place to take the kids for a quick bite. They even have a kids menu.
Wheelchair accessibility: The dining room, sandwich line, and restrooms are all fully wheelchair accessible.“

“I like this location because it's never very busy and they stay open till 10:00 p.m. . it's in The Pearl district so it's a fairly decent area and you never really have to wait very long in line. The employees that I have met that work there are always friendly and helpful and the store is always clean. My only complaint is that the prices have gone up so much. it cost the same price for spicy Italian now as the turkey sandwich costs. they're both almost $12 each now. I feel like I can't even afford to go to Subway very often anymore.
Vegetarian options: you'll find just the usual toppings for Subway sandwich there nothing too fancy.
Parking: it's difficult to find a parking spot here because of all the apartment complexes in other businesses there. they don't have any designated parking area for this location. it makes it difficult to be able to stop to grab a quick bite.
Wheelchair accessibility: The door is wheelchair accessible and I believe the restrooms are too. that is if they are allowing people to use the restrooms at this location I haven't asked but I know they have them there.“
“If it's slow they do okay but if it's busy it becomes obvious they have no clue how to run a restaurant. Also they don't take coupons and act kind of indignant about it. They took so long that after 20 minutes standing in line I literally left. “This is the cleanest most well organized Subway I’ve been to in years. It reminds me of how it used to be back in the day when I was a kid. I definitely credit that to the wonderful older woman who works there. I wish I had her name but she sounded Ukrainian or Russian. “Guy( server 420) working didn't honor coupon, he said coupon expired on 11-4-24- it did not! It expires on 11-7-24- still have the entire flyer that coupons came in mail. Debit card and coupon machines not working. But credit card went through, night of presidential election, 3 ,12 inch subs for 19.99- so 2 coupons for that amount- guy( server 420) working said 5 sandwiches would be to many for him to make, needed to be 24 hr notice for cantering. A couple had come into store when guy (server 420) was making sandwiches and bellowed across store , that they might want to go somewhere else because he had to make 5 sandwiches and it was going to take a long time to make. Went back to store this am to talk with manager, guy from night before there also, manager, didn't know how to handle the thievery and lies this guy did the day before, manager said there was a was a way to put money back on card and honor the coupons that were still active, but she didn't know how to do it . She couldn't call her boss because boss had to take care of daughters medical needs. She said she could only call boss in case of emergency. So with the threatening help subway is hiring, ( server 420) charged me to knock me down, im elderly and handicap, but i stood my ground as a customer. Manager saw all this also. will never visit another subway, ever. Subway needs to own up on thier actions.“
