“I am thankful that this Subway is not closed. It's always clean and speedy. Felix is the best employee/manager in any fast food restaurant I've had the pleasure to meet. I witnessed Felix's compassion and thoughtfulness when he was helping a special needs customer. His patience and kindness was heart warming. He offers that same service to everyone. He's terrific! ❤️
I stopped by this convenient location on my way home from work, and now, just when I'm out shopping. My thought is that the only thing that could use improvement is the parking lot exit onto NE Jessup Street. There's no obvious easement onto the street. Thank you Felix. ?
Parking: Easy in off street and just need to be a little cautious exiting onto the side street.“
“I try hard to leave an open star giving the business room for minor improvements. Although there are those rare moments of appreciation that leave the customer an all around complete and satisfying sensation that hits deep to the core. Immediately I noticed the cleanliness, the organizing and inventory fully stocked, that is not easy to witness.“
“I absolutely loved the customer service I received. I ordered online and got my sandwich made on time and efficiently. The manager there is a real gem and truly has a heart for their customers! “The food is subway. Nothing more, nothing less. Seems everything is kept at temp properly as it never seems to upset my stomach (unlike other subways).
The service, at least late night, is superb. The guy is always quick and friendly when we go in to grab our food.
The atmosphere is what you'd expect for an urban late-night subway. Not fine-dining, but friendly enough to come grab a snack, and much calmer than most other 24hr portland establishments.“
“Haven’t been here in over a year. They recently remodeled and everything looks clean and crisp. The sandwiches were yummy and tightly wrapped, so much less messy! I appreciated that. The coupon drew me in and I’ll start coming here more often.“
“I've served by and both were very efficient. And I discovered something that I did not know which is that they have had or sometime veggie pattys. Since I stopped eating meat I had not gone there and didn't realize it for a number of years they've been carrying a very nice and tasty veggie patty. So I truly had one of the most delicious sandwiches that I've had in a long time.The price was great $6.49 for a 6in delicious and very filling sandwich

“Classic Subway atmosphere. The manager, at least, is an excellent Sandwich Maker dedicated to a positive customer experience. My favorite is an Italian BMT on Italian Herb & Cheese bread with extra pepper jack, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and all the veggies except lettuce. Sometimes I change up the sauce, which makes it fun!
Vegetarian options: This location has veggie patties! Also, did you know? If you don't get meat, or the veggie patty, then they don't charge extra for avocado.
Dietary restrictions: It's build-your-own, with ingredients of the bread clearly listed. If you have a serious issue, just let them know, and they'll change their gloves and wipe down the line before they begin building your sandwich, in accordance with the health code. Then, just don't order anything you're allergic to. Easy!
Parking: Very limited parking. The parking lot is very small, shared by several businesses, with lots of time restricted parking spaces.
Kid-friendliness: The classic Subway atmosphere in a relatively safe neighborhood makes this a fine place to take the kids for a quick bite. They even have a kids menu.
Wheelchair accessibility: The dining room, sandwich line, and restrooms are all fully wheelchair accessible.“
“This location has been around so long that its bathroom lock codes are still "1301" - the store's street address 1301 NE Broadway St - after at least 15 years.
Service depends on which crew happens to be employed at the time but otherwise, a Subway is a Subway....

“The moment I entered the store I knew I was in for a rare and fulfilling customer service experience. The floor was mopped, tables, clean and chairs upside down on the tables.
I arrived about 20 minutes before closing and Derek promptly greeted me with a level of enthusiasm uncommon when an employee is looking forward to going home.
Derek's attitude was EXCELLENT! He mentioned that due to other locations closing early he's used to getting their overflow and was happy to see me.
My sandwich was made quickly, with care, and Derek even had the foresight to offer wrapping the sandwiches individually after I asked him to cut it in half.
His friendly easy going demeanor would fit right in at higher end restaurants and I was moved to give him a $5 tip against an $8 purchase.
The stores windows, sidewalk, and parking lot were all clean and there's plenty of parking available. You can count on this location to provide you a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience, and hopefully you luck out and have a chance to have Derek wait on you.“
“Even though they said "Be roght with you" that was not the case: had to wait to order. Then I ordered what I did NOT know what they call a "numbered" sandwich and was told I had to get it as is on the board with no substations or additions... oh boy and they told me that as it was being made!
I'm sorry, but I guess I don't go to Subway enough to know their protocol or speak their language

“Best place to come for food and service. The manager, Johnny, is awesome and goes above expectations to give his customers a perfect visit and encourages them to come back. The other associates are great too and the food is better than some other subways I've been to.“
“I like this location because it's never very busy and they stay open till 10:00 p.m. . it's in The Pearl district so it's a fairly decent area and you never really have to wait very long in line. The employees that I have met that work there are always friendly and helpful and the store is always clean. My only complaint is that the prices have gone up so much. it cost the same price for spicy Italian now as the turkey sandwich costs. they're both almost $12 each now. I feel like I can't even afford to go to Subway very often anymore.
Vegetarian options: you'll find just the usual toppings for Subway sandwich there nothing too fancy.
Parking: it's difficult to find a parking spot here because of all the apartment complexes in other businesses there. they don't have any designated parking area for this location. it makes it difficult to be able to stop to grab a quick bite.
Wheelchair accessibility: The door is wheelchair accessible and I believe the restrooms are too. that is if they are allowing people to use the restrooms at this location I haven't asked but I know they have them there.“

Taste as what you would expect at any subway. Yet the service here is extraordinary. Super friendly even suggesting places to checkout for tourists.
Place inside looked overall clean. The location is not in the nicest part of downtown.“

“This last Saturday night, Sept 7, at 8:45 PM, (15 minutes before you closed) I realized I had no contributions for our Church's next day, after service, Sunday Potluck! And I would be picked up to go to Church at 9:30 in the morning. (I live in an Assisted Living facility, and had no groceries or transport to get any,
So using my walker, I managd to leave my building about 8:40 in the morning, and got there a few minutes before your employee CODY had readied all to open at 9 AM!
With the finest, fastest preperation, he made twice as many subs that were on sale for a special cost.
Talk about a Sunday Morning Miracle!

“The person behind the counter was very friendly and informed us respectfully that they do not take coupons at that location this would be a five-star rating if they did take coupons. She was there all by herself. I wish I had gotten her name but she was much nicer than the previous Subway we went to. And as far as the other most recent review for this Subway the complaint that she didn't wash your hands between changing gloves is silly because it's the gloves that protect the food not the hand washing!“
“Super convenient location on my way home from work. Staffed mostly with young kids that don't seem to care too much but maybe I'm just used to the Midwestern friendliness as have recently moved to Portland from Wisconsin. All in all a good place.“
“The people that work here are just outstanding. I work for a large corporation so I understand why they have the number of employees they have. No restaurant downtown provides both counter and drive through service.....
However, this place is immaculate, even the restroom looks great. I'm asked how much sauce or veggies, ect I want, I get exactly I ask for. Anything I order, it's prepared quickly, every time. Everything is fresh. I like their new offer of meal of the day. I've noticed that if I take a late lunch, I have more luck avoiding the typical lunch line. Looking forward to my next visit.
Vegetarian options: A variety of vegetables and other healthy vegetarian toppings. Subway has tuna, yummy veggie patties or cheese in place of meat. Sells veggie bowls-(really yummy salads)
Dietary restrictions: Veggie patty in place of meat, really good by the way. Veggie sandwich. Has non wheat breads.
Kid-friendliness: Restaurant is clean and kid friendly.“
“This is the cleanest most well organized Subway I’ve been to in years. It reminds me of how it used to be back in the day when I was a kid. I definitely credit that to the wonderful older woman who works there. I wish I had her name but she sounded Ukrainian or Russian. She’s always very quick, kind, and you can tell she really takes care of that place. As soon as I get her name I will be updating! This will be the Subway location of choice for me as long as she is there, just wonderful!“
“The manager at this subway is an awesome guy. Took care of us with going above and beyond. Even though he was alone at 2 am. and the line had several others waiting , he was quick..kind..good attitude..and worked hard. I can't remember his name, but he had a slender build..glasses.. and young about 20 maybe“

“Guy( server 420) working didn't honor coupon, he said coupon expired on 11-4-24- it did not! It expires on 11-7-24- still have the entire flyer that coupons came in mail. Debit card and coupon machines not working. But credit card went through, night of presidential election, 3 ,12 inch subs for 19.99- so 2 coupons for that amount- guy( server 420) working said 5 sandwiches would be to many for him to make, needed to be 24 hr notice for cantering. A couple had come into store when guy (server 420) was making sandwiches and bellowed across store , that they might want to go somewhere else because he had to make 5 sandwiches and it was going to take a long time to make. Went back to store this am to talk with manager, guy from night before there also, manager, didn't know how to handle the thievery and lies this guy did the day before, manager said there was a was a way to put money back on card and honor the coupons that were still active, but she didn't know how to do it . She couldn't call her boss because boss had to take care of daughters medical needs. She said she could only call boss in case of emergency. So with the threatening help subway is hiring, ( server 420) charged me to knock me down, im elderly and handicap, but i stood my ground as a customer. Manager saw all this also. will never visit another subway, ever. Subway needs to own up on thier actions.“
“Came to this Subway this past week and I couldn't have been treated better. I am pretty sure that the man that served me was named David or Dave. I've waited tables all of my life and was extremely impressed with David. David was beyond professional and was very kind. He made my family's sandwiches so fast and was constantly making sure with us that we were happy. I'll continue to come here in the future and hope that David/Dave is our server. Thanks Subway for hiring this man. He deserves a promotion. ?“

“I love eating here on a lovely rainy day where you can watch the world go by in a store that smells so delicious! The employees are super nice and respectful and the lobby is always clean and sparkling! And the bread smells divine and the sandwiches are so good! Can't wait to stop by and eat here again!“
“I've ordered here a few times now and have always found the gentleman on duty to be friendly and affable. He's made my food exactly as I requested and put up with my eccentric behavior.

“If it's slow they do okay but if it's busy it becomes obvious they have no clue how to run a restaurant. Also they don't take coupons and act kind of indignant about it. They took so long that after 20 minutes standing in line I literally left. I love Subway and this is the closest location but I promise I'll be going to the one down the street on Barbur from now on and so should you.“
“Crystal is a sweetheart and makes a damn fine sandwich. I wish there were more employees in there to help. The only reason this doesn't get five stars across the board is cuz there wasn't enough employees to keep things in stock and keep the line moving. Otherwise, excellent place to eat.“

This woman Amy made my sandwiches with love and a smile. I really really appreciated the interaction, especially on Sunday the time of rest and relaxation. It was pleasant. I can really tell she enjoys what she does. We all should appreciate people like her.“
