Actually good, real-authentic Chinese food. So much better than 99.97% of the Westernized Chinese restaurants in America.

If I had someone from China with me and they wanted food from home, I wouldn’t feel embarrassed taking them here.

Hope they open up at the new location pronto, the current location on Capitol Highway is just not great for garnering customers.

My wife and I ate here, the only thing fresh is the garnish on the plate. Chef Mike (The microwave, 微波爐)is the only chef in this place.

Rubbery, over cooked, and my wife heard the owner exclaiming we were poor in chinese bc we didn't order beer. We also heard dogs barking from the kitchen, which we think is a health code violation..

I'm giving a 5 even though it wasn't a 5 experience, but the negative reviews miss some basic info. Went for lunch on a Friday and we were the only ones (maybe its more of a nighttime place). Server was very friendly and helpful. He was clearly the only staff on site, which if nothing else, is simply not safe (one person can not watch the front of house, prep the food, make the drinks at the same time. We easily could have walked out without paying). Food came out as fast as one guy could be expected and between us we had 8 different dishes (had we known he was alone we might have ordered less to not overly burden him). Then I let him know that there was no hand paper in the bathroom and he said he had already informed the owner, and apologized. Why was it not already dealt with then? There are clearly management issues. Lastly, a few people complained about mandatory 20% tip. We did not have that on our ticket so I asked to clarify. He said they only do that with groups of 4 or more. Not unreasonable, although 6 is kinda the industry standard. But, we had a choice of tip amount as a 2-top. I enjoyed it enough that I want to go back at night, but I sure hope the owner fixes their side of things because the staff and food deserve better.

I went for lunch only to discover that there was only one employee who informed me that he couldn't cook any entrees, only sides. He offered minced pork over rice which sounded good enough for a lunch meal, but I was sad when the bowl of it was given to me. It was 90 percent rice with a greasy sauce, a boiled egg, and a smattering of very fatty diced pork. I was hungry enough to eat most of it, but it was very average. The cucumber salad was pretty good at least. The price, however, soured any positive notions. 6 bucks for the cucumber salad and 11 bucks for the below average rice dish. I might be willing to try again to at least check out the entrees, but the price and service are significant deterrents.

I also feel bad for the employee who was put in that situation. Why did he not have help and why wasn't there a plan in place to provide entrees at the time of opening?

Wonderful experience dining here with friends, I highly recommend the pork belly bao, garlic noodles and braised eggs. Everything was tasty though, I will be back for more!

Eat here if you like to get railed from behind with no lube.

Food. Garbage. Service. Garbage. Mandatory 20% tips. What a joke.

Was ok, portion size was not expected. Pork buns was mid, but the pork with rice was good. Dining area has ample space and parking is shared with other tenants.

A nice spot to get some authentic Taiwanese fare. We were originally going to dine at Din Tai Fung, but the wait for walk-ins was north of two hours. Came here and was promptly served - an underrated spot! We are vegetarian and really enjoyed the tofu platter. My taste buds felt like I was in Taipei.

Taste authentic and have a great selection of Taiwanese drinks to go along with the food. Nice place to chat with friends.

The service is as bad as scum. Even if you don’t even get water, you still ask for it! After asking for water, they never came to pour water! It’s nice to have a mandatory 18% tip! The two female shop assistants had stinky faces, as if I owed him money. They were just playing with their mobile phones from beginning to end.
Please stop it. That's not how restaurants are run.
Don’t call it a Taiwanese restaurant, please?because there isn’t such a bad restaurant in Taiwan

Btw the food is really average
The sound of the microwave is quite harsh.
My tip is probably for the microwave.

Terrible service!
Charge me 18% service fee but not even served a cup of water (not until I request it )
And the food were made by microwave
Waitress just sitting there focus on her phone rather than do her job
