This place is great. The customer service is amazing, they're always super welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. You would never guess this place is COMPLETELY gluten-free and 100% celiac friendly. Thank you, Portland Press, you just gained a new regular!

Not only do these guys have some of the best gluten free waffle sandwiches in town (I’ve tried them all), but they care wholeheartedly about their customers. To how great the food LOOKS, to how magnificently it TASTES, and your whole overall experience. Their team is great and it’s always a joy to come in and be greeted ?

I stopped in one day on a whim and tried the PB Pig. It was, quite simply, transcendent. I felt as though I had ascended to a higher plane of existence while eating it. And the only thing better than the food? The service. The staff was an absolute delight and one of the owners personally greeted me to make sure everything was ok (and believe you me - everything was). I implore you to try The Portland Press. Your only regret will be not having done so sooner.

While in Salem I decided to check out Inside Fork Forty Food Hall and this place caught my eye. The guys who run it - super friendly and they convinced me to get the the morning edition and it was a great combo. My wife got the PB Pig which was also great. These guys know what they are doing. They said they have a steak and cheese special and now I can't wait to go back and try it because that is a personal favorite. Anyone visiting the area they are the first thing I recommend.

Went to Fork Forty Food Hall for the first time today and decided on The Portland Press. AMAZING choice!!! I had the Figgy & The Pear (pear, cream cheese, fig jam, drizzled with local honey, topped with crushed walnuts and a touch of orange zest) and my husband had the Cubano (slow-roasted, house-braised mojo pork, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, yellow mustard, pickles. Served with chips). Both waffle sandwiches were SOOOOOOOO good!!! Quality and quantity of the food is great, and the service is just as good. It took a little while for our order to be done, but we got a sincere apology and 2 free bottles of water. After we go our food and sat down, a few minutes later, an employee came over and thanked us for our patience, thanked us for the tip we left, and asked us how we liked everything. Incredible customer service and INCREDIBLE food. We will DEFINITELY be back. I HIGHLY recommend checking them out. You won't be disappointed ❤

I've tried two sandwiches - the Diablo (with no ham, extra turkey) and the Mayor Marionberry and both were so good! The staff cares about quality and are really nice too. I'm glad the Portland Press has come to Salem and are at Fork Forty- it's a really fun place to hang out :)

My boyfriend and I tried this for lunch for the first time today. I had the Figgy and the Pear sandwich. I would never guess that the waffle is gluten free, it was so delicious! It was nice and light for a sweet option. My boyfriend tried the Cubano sandwich and loved it. It would be nice to see a savory vegetarian option in the future, but we will definitely be back for more!

We were excited to try Portland Press's creative waffle sandwich menu on our first visit to Fork Forty during the soft opening. We ordered online and picked up at the counter. The pear-fig waffle was excellent. Even if you don't require gluten-free, it's tasty. So glad to have a place like this downtown now!(Just added Fork Forty to our list of favorite places in Salem on our blog. You can find it by searching "Intentional Travelers favorite Salem")

I ordered the Campfire, which is a waffley take on s'mores and omg...what a warm, gooey and delectable creation. Loved it and can't wait to try some something different next time.
