just stopped in today before work for lunch. The attendant was personable and respectful. The food was made quick and even taking it to go, it was still warm and delicious once i made it home. I find new experiences pretty daunting, but i felt attended to and was helped when i had questions. I've had other "bowl" quick bite alternatives to The Whole Bowl but this was the easiest and most delicious experience by far.
I LOVE Whole Bowl. The Tali sauce cannot be beat! Black & red beans, rice, cheese, avocado, cilantro, sour cream, salsa & Tali sauce. Olives are also available (I skip) those). It melds into the most delicious meal (vegetarian too). Because I live Vancouver I always buy 2 bowls.I moved out here from Cincinnati OH (in 2017) & there is a WB now in Cincy.
Whole Bowl is the granddaddy of the cart food movement in Portlandia and this little gem offers a clean, simple, pure and totally addictive menu. From the bean and rice magic, to the tasty chips and incredible vegan cookie for dessert, you can build an honest meal for an honest price. Coconut water craving? Got ya covered. An assortment of beverages to choose from and off you go. Eat here, support a local legend, and be happy!
