Myself and my partner ordered the special and the meatball wrap, plus a Panna Cotta special. The gentleman was friendly, upbeat, happy to help, and a joy to chat with. All the food was fantastic. He offered a hot sauce that is sweet, very warm, and I purchased a jar to take home. This restaurant is top shelf! Must go, and the Woodstock neighborhood is excellent for walking around.

The mashed root vegetables are addictive! I ordered mine with bacon. They are so good.
Everything I come to Portland Viking Soul Food is the first place I stop. I love the troll snacks and get two orders in case I have to share. Then anything else on the menu is fair game. The meatballs are very tasty and the Polse (pork) is perfect. The owners are wonderful people and very welcoming. If you don't go for the food go just to talk with them but GO!
Looking for something a little different but still delicious? This is it! Great spot to get something to eat and have a nice sit-down in the Woodstock neighborhood. I really like my mushroom patties, the panna cotta, and the elderflower soda!
