This is the BEST and most authentic (the get the ingredients from home) Jamaican restaurant I've been to in the Pacific Northwest!!! You will not be disappointed.

My meal wasn’t good. $40 for oxtail with no meat, just bones.

OMG!! A friend turned me on to this place I ordered from Uber eats this afternoon. Jerk chicken plate with cabbage, beans and rice, sweet and plantains. Food was or is the bomb💣. The flavors the seasonings are on point. I've never had Jamaican food before and I've always wanted to try jerk chicken. I am NOW hooked on jerk chicken. I'll be ordering again

TLDR: Delicious Oxtail, but very expensive and not a lot of meat.

I went specifically for the oxtails. Oh man, do i love oxtails and theirs are good! Maybe not among the best Ive had, but it’s good. The oxtail isn’t particularly generous with the meat. They load you up with a lot of rice and peas and plantains. In May 2026 they’re charging $40. Thats a pretty high price and significantly higher than any place I have tried in the country. My favorite place in Houston charges $26. My favorite places in Los Angeles charges between $28-$32. The value proposition here is definitely out of whack. Sure, the oxtails were delicious, not the most generous with meat, but incredibly high price seriously affected how it tasted to me and left me unsatisfied. I don’t think ill ever go again.

This was my first time trying a Jamaican restaurant in Portland, and I’m already hooked! The ackee and saltfish was one of the best I’ve had. The jerk chicken was delicious—just a bit spicy for my kid. Portions were generous, and overall it was a great experience. Highly recommend!

I ordered the stew chicken and as a Jamaican this is one of the best stew chicken I’ve had in a long time when I tell you seasoned to perfection down to the bone and tender wow! If you need authentic Jamaican flavors, you need to stop by this store. Delivery via DoorDash.

This is a tough review because it's in our neighborhood and we've wanted to come for such a long time.

My wife's $35 fish she said was decent. I had a $17 jerk chicken sandwich which was all it came with nothing else. The sandwich had bones in it which might be the traditional way its served but I wasn't used to it and it could have dangerous without any heads up.

I didnt think the service where we had to buss our own food and the ambiance matched up to the price for 2 people which came to $70.

I know food prep etc is an expensive endeavor but I didn't feel the overall service and experience justified that high price point.

Not a review of the food as I haven’t tasted it yet. The guy at the counter was rude as hell when I picked up my online order. It’s not like they were busy. The place was totally empty. Customer service wins every time. They lost. I’ll never be back.
