“I don't know why Google is saying that I ate here 3 weeks ago I did not however I have eight here many times in the past and if I have not left a review I must say they are absolutely amazing. If you don't mind the crowd you will not be “
“My friends and I were celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Breakfast Club movie release. We went to the Village Bar & Grill, which was prepared for our rowdy energy. We had rented a room at the Sunriver, so we could enjoy a few cocktails. The place was jam-packed, so we shared a long table at the bar. Our server, Nathan Thunderhawk, was excellent. He moved swiftly through the busy room and provided us with attentive service (like a gazelle). We started with two margaritas, which were sizable! We decided to try the fish tacos, which were light and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of sauce to add spice but not kill off the herbs and cilantro. The Santa Fe Shrimp salad was topped with massive blackened jumbo shrimp (a serious-sized crustacean there was no little amphipod pink shrimp), and the avocado was thin sliced and tender. We were going for the full fish fiasco and ordered the Alaskan Fish and Chips. What I appreciated most was that everything that had been fried was golden and NOT greasy. It was evident that they kept their oil clean. Although we did not realize it was the start of spring break, thus why it was so congested, our food arrived hot and flawless despite the restaurant being so crowded. I cannot say enough about our server. Although it was bar and grill food, we received an extremely high level of customer care and quality service.“
“We had a 6:30pm reservation and were honestly about ready to leave. We sat for 25 minutes after receiving menus and our waters. Kristen ended up taking over as our waitress and she was AMAZING and completely turned our experience around. We each had a special. My husband had the blackened halibut with a potato leek and spinach sauce. I had the braised rack of lamb with a bean pate and Brussels sprouts. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection and deliciously mouth watering! We ended the night with the Blondie dessert curtesy of Kristen. If you go be sure to ask for Kristen and tip her well!“
“Great food! Awesome local place with a terrific bar with local beer on tap and great vibe. The rib special was fantastic. Great smoke flavor and sides. The staff is hard working and really pulling it off. Even with a busy restaurant it was a great experience. I'll be back for sure. The whole family had a great time.“
“Party of seven. Everyone raved over the braised beef and I enjoyed the Mac n cheese w pulled pork. As an aside, Elk and deer may greet you in the parking lot and let you get to about ten feet. The atmosphere is excellent. The menu selection is smaller than a restaurant. The one thing that stood out to those that had one was the drink titled, something PUNCH. That seemed to pack its namesake making those that had it, pretty happy.“
“Friendly local place. Stopped in for breakfast. Food was good. It was so nice that their menu had half portion sizes. Breakfast food is generally large and not reheatable. Tummy is full with half portion. Will stop in again. Didn't give five stars till i try lunch or dinner, or a bloody mary. Be back soon.“
“second time was no disappointment!! went as a family (12 yr old friendly) for first was wonderful food and service! second trip just grown-ups... house tacos were amazing served up with a greentea and whiskey delicious!! Can't wait to go back!“
“What an exceptional Holiday dinner with the family. We ate at Lodge Kitchen and had Carla as our server- she provided service that was top of the line. Standouts were the dry aged ribeye and traditional caeser salad. Espresso Martini was on par with the meal but the best part of the evening was the ambiance! We also had a lighter meal at The Owl’s Nest and brunch- such a fun vacation- nothing beats Sunriver!“
